Granola is outrageously expensive to buy, but so easy to make. Here’s my tasty, no-junk recipe for homemade granola:
Homemade Granola Recipe
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup nuts (almonds, pecans, etc.)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, chopped apricots, etc.)
Combine the oats, coconut and nuts in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk the honey and oil together.
Pour the honey-oil mixture over the dry mixture, and stir to combine.
Transfer to a baking sheet, and bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Stir every 10-15 minutes to prevent burning.
Stir in the fruit, and allow it to cool. Store in an airtight container.
Enjoy with milk, over top of yogurt or just by the handful.
