I’m now the owner of a $37.98 garden hose, but don’t worry, no greenbacks were squandered in the process. That’s because I found mine in a curb pile. It’s the same one that you see here, and it’s in like-new condition. Not sure why someone would throw out such a pricey hose (especially since it doesn’t have any leaks), but I’m really happy that they did. I’ve wanted one of these hoses for years, but even on clearance they were too expensive for my taste. Now, I have 100 feet of kink-free hose to help me keep my garden watered this summer, and I’m ready for my next curb shopping adventure.

Last Friday morning, I spotted what I thought was a flat screen TV stand in a curb pile. We pulled over to check it out, and it was actually an old coat rack. Score! I have one of these by my front door, and it does a great job of corralling all of our coats, hats and tote bags.
