Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions:
Brown and drain the ground beef.
Combine all the ingredients in your crockpot. Cover, and cook on low for four hours, stirring occasionally.
The peppers and onions will release their juices as they cook. If there’s a little more liquid than you’d like at the end of the cooking time, just remove the lid, and cook a bit longer.
Serve warm on hamburger buns. This recipe doubles and triples beautifully.
Notes
I have a strong preference for 90s crockpots because they cook at a lower temperature. If you have a newer crockpot, you may need to adjust the cooking time down. Just watch it the first time, and make a note of your preferred cooking time.
