Sunday This cold spell has been educational. Whenever we get winter temperatures, they come with a north wind. The chill factor against the north side of the house is apparent. Saturday Did some more research. The vertical wind breaks can actually funnel the winds and make them stronger. That is if the vertical ones are solid. 60% wind resistance seems to be the best. This is why evergreens make great windbreaks. Their density is perfect for stopping wind. So need to study...
