I am the same way, Clem. I enjoy facebook because of the people I get to keep in touch with, but I have "unfollowed" several whose posts consistently bothered me, and it makes it much more enjoyable.

Just chiming in to agree: absolutely keep asking her! Caregivers NEED to get out and socialize and get a break. She is obviously enjoying the outings or she wouldn't be accepting. And if she ever gets to the point where she has to consistently decline, it is time to mobilize your friends to socializ...

We bought a house for our kids to rent while they were attending college (3 of the 4 went to the same large state university). Only our kids, nieces and nephews, and approved friends rented. It saved them significant money (more than 1/2) over living in the dorms, was quieter and better in every way...
