Although I am tired from it, I had a lovely day cooking for the week ahead for me and the dog. It saves so much money -- hypoallergenic canned food for her would cost $4 a day purchased but it's about $8 a week to make her meals -- and I eat much healthier.

Thanksgiving meals sound wonderful today! We had a cool day after a Saturday of rain, and I spent most of it in the kitchen. Maggie, our grocery total was lower this week too. We bought a little meat, which we usually don't, but less fruit. The only non-food item was a $4.99 jumbo package of baby wipes to make into sanitizing wipes. I had coupons for frozen vegetables, so that was helpful.

We bought some lovely new bath towels a couple of months ago. This chilly morning after my shower, it was a genuine pleasure to wrap up in that big, soft towel.
