It is good. Also, my grandmother always made the egg whites into meringue(sp?). I've done that but it's not my favorite. I agree with CG that this is something that needs about an inch of fresh whipped cream, lol.

Sandy, is this actually your Grandma's recipe ?? Have you made it ?? I am wondering about the milk.....we drink skim milk. Actually, for several years I have put the turkey in the oven just before I go to bed the night before, on low. When I get up (an early riser), I take it out to rest. Then I slice it and take it off the bone, pour some of the broth on it, over it with aluminum foil, and put it back in a warm oven. ...

Anything that can be done beforehand, I do. Just about the only thing you *have* to do on Thanksgiving Day is roast the turkey (or chicken, lol).
