The disposables gave all mine severe diaper rash. I remember this with my step-son, who was a Pampers baby prior to when we amalgamated our two families. He wore what seemed a permanent red bottom until I switched him over to cloth. Within 4 days, his rash-ridden bottom cleared. Plastic waterproof ...
