home made jello

Post by Dgflorida »

I used to buy the Walmart brand jello. It was half the price of jello. It has been discontinued and I want to start making my own. I read about using kool-aid for flavor. Has anyone tried it. I don't want to use suit juice because of the carbohydrates. But open to any other ideas.

What about berry juice and sugar-free sweetener?

I have made gelatin desert with Knox unflavored gelatin, and juice. I used Minute Maid frozen fruit punch.

Because of the pineapple in the punch I had to cook the juice.

I suppose you could try with unflavored gelatin and sugar free Kool-Aid. Remember that some sugar substitutes can’t take heat.
