Eating pumpkin flowers and leaf's

Post by alliesmama4 »

I was looking for a recipe to can wild grape leaves for making Greek dolma. While doing so ran across an article that stated you can eat the flowers and the leaves from the pumpkin plant..Wow. One man said he actually grows some pumpkins just to use the leaves in cooking..Best to search out an article online rather than me trying to tell you all of the details. Some people from other countries state they eat them all the time. Meanwhile I have quite a few wild grape plants growing on my property. Only the occasional grape. For years I have wanted to can some of the leaves to make Greek dolma. Also ran across an article where you can store them without canning. I might try that on a trial basis for a few of them but will can in brine the rest of them.
