Yesterday was plant buying day and the store I went to had just gotten a new shipment. I am about half way there if I use bulbs in the planters against the shed, if not just a bit under that.
Today will be grocery shopping day, and tomorrow I hope to get a few more plants for the front and the large pots down the side of the house. I could perhaps be done shopping for plants by the weekend depending on what I find.

Re: Managing a May Low Spend Month
Bought a few more plants yesterday and still have a few more to purchase I think. But I am not sure so need to get these into whatever container they need to be in so as to know what I need.
That means today will be no spending and tomorrow as we will attend Mass for the first time in over a year just the usual weekly tithe (I did drop off our envelopes every two weeks over this past year and a half almost).

Re: Managing a May Low Spend Month
So Monday was a no spend stick around the house day, and today will be as well. I have a few household chores and need to redo my plant buying list once more. I am calling yesterday and today low/no spend days (pretty much no spending at all).

No spend yesterday, but today is bill paying and errand day. I still have a couple of planters to fill, but with the weather turning cold those will wait until later next week. Spending will be kept to a minimum. Plan on shopping the sales, paying bills online, and sticking close to home.

Spending today as I go for a haircut. I might even splurge and go to the two second hand stores in the city. We shall see.

Re: Managing a May Low Spend Month
Boy am I behind here.
The 22, 23, and 24th were no spend days. Spending happened on the 25th as we traveled to the city but all was kept to a minimum. I spent minimally yesterday on some groceries we did not purchase in the city.
Today should be a no spend, and I have decided that the only thing I will be planting in my big pots this year is the remainder of the gladioli bulbs. No more plant spending for me.
I am still dreading how much we have spent on yard improvements so far....This time of year is scary.
