I bought some tempeh last time I went grocery shopping - it is terrible. Yesterday I marinated it in some soy sauce, rice vinegar and brown sugar and pan fried it. I had it in wraps with some broccoli and drizzled some hot honey on them. That made it edible. I still have one wrap to eat. The stuff was clearance priced at my store and I got money back for it on Ibotta - but still not worth the $2.51 I paid after sale and rebate. Now I know, lol.

I warmed up that last wrap and melted some cheese on top of it and doused it in hot sauce. It was better than the first two I ate yesterday. I drank a cup of peppermint hot chocolate using an envelope of the instant mix I got as a work gift - a nice treat on a cold day.

Used up the yellow onion that was residing in the fridge. I also used up the 1/2 rutabaga, the remaining asparagus, and the last of a carton of cherry tomatoes.

So I have used up all the broccoli and cauliflower in the fridge. Down to just a couple of carrots, and some celery.... Cleaned out that crisper nicely and will probably have it completely empty by the time of my next grocery shop.

Used up about 1/2 the brown lentils making curry. I will need to find another recipe to use up some more. I also have some French lentils that will need using very soon.

I was rather wasteful this evening and put way more cheese on my homemade pizza than usual, justifying it by telling myself that I got the cheese at a good sale price. I don't need the extra calories either but it is tasty. Second time this week for pizza - I need to be stopped.
