No Food Waste
Re: No Food Waste
Hubby had the last of the stir fry for lunch today. I had the potato patty along with some grated cheese melted on top.

Re: No Food Waste
Last night we had the last of the baked spaghetti for supper. The remaining bit has been put in a tinfoil container and will be taken to youngest when we go up next week.

Re: No Food Waste
I have had a bit of waste this past week. Things were pushed to the back, or Hubby said he would have it for lunch and didn't. Definitely need to try much harder to cut this out.

Re: No Food Waste
I absolutely hate to waste food. But I had to throw four potatoes into the garbage today. I knew they were sprouting, but I procrastinated too long and they were just too far gone. The remainder of the potatoes in the potato basket looked like they were beginning to think about sprouting, so I peeled them and cooked them in the Instant Pot. We ate some of them for supper with scrambled eggs and sausage and I put the rest into the fridge to use in a dish later this week. I'm thinking maybe a pot of soup to use up some of the leftovers and the excess veggies from the crisper.

Re: No Food Waste
I am happy to report no food waste at all this week. Things not used up right away have been frozen for use in something else down the road.

I had to toss one clementine this morning. I put two containers of homemade soup from the frige to the freezer.
