Way to go 11cats2beagles!!!

In the past couple of days we have used up the leftover salmon, the leftover salad, a loaf of bread (must bake tomorrow), a container of margarine, the last of a bag of mints, the last cola in the box (the box lasted us three weeks) and a couple of tomatoes.

I used up some wool suiting cutting out a jacket (tiny scraps left...I was worried there wasn't enough fabric) and most of some bright pink silk that I have been saving to make a dress.

Over the last few days I have used up a few items.

A bobbin of grey thread.

The leftover ham from a few weeks ago that I froze.

Two chicken breasts that had been in the freezer for a while.

Tonight will see the end of my facial cleanser.

A couple of use ups here:
Finished up a half pound of bacon (big sacrifice you understand) and the last five eggs in the oldest dozen in the fridge.

Used the bacon grease to make milk gravy with a 1/2 gallon of milk almost at the expiration date. Then had the leftover biscuits and gravy for breakfast today.

Finished up a loaf of bread and a carton of oleo and a stick of butter.

September has been a pretty fair use up month - not perfect but much better than usual. Going for using up everything in October.

not much food waste this month. i am using up the last of the lettuce today for lunch. I will add in hb eggs, tuna, olives and onions and whatever dressing looks good. cheap and easy lunch. ramen for breakfast! I have to use them up due to expiration dates. will ad veggies and some leftover chicken. and a dash of hot sauce and dash of sesame oil and soy sauce. tastes pretty good. cj

Found a box of paper grocery sacks in the basement during decluttering today, so took half of them out for recycling. Finding more things for eBay ... though there's no guarantee I can get rid of them that way, LOL!

Dinner used the last of the roast pork and various containers of leftover potatoes, broccoli, etc.

Pulled a bag of our garden tomatoes from the freezer to add to soup ...
