I am ready for another month of getting more bang for my buck.

Anyone care to join in?

I'm in!!!
We have the wood from our old and dead porch swing in the recycle bin. That will be picked up on Friday morning. I called the people who do the pick-ups and they said they will take the pieces. So this is a biggie for the month of May!!! It was a lot of work to disassemble the swing and cut the longer pieces but it's all done now - yay!!! We have a new swing coming - no wood, though. I really like the way wood looks, though. but this one should be good.

Continuing on our quest to use left-overs in the fridge in a timely fashion. No waste allowed!!!

Well, I recycled a pair of Hubby's jeans into shorts, they were pretty darn ratty around the bottoms.

Used up the navy yarn on the blanket of many colours.

Used up the leftover roast beef in a casserole tonight.

Hubby ate one of the small pieces of steak leftover from Sunday for his lunch today.

I'm in. Using up the last of the older frozen meat. Today, I will process the last package of chicken breasts. We will have one for dinner and the rest skinned, de-boned and ready to eat in freezer packages. I will get the last beef roast out of the freezer to thaw for grilling on Friday. Then we will be down to about a weeks worth of burgers and the newly bought, frozen turkey breasts. No great sales, so nothing to add to the freezer at this time.

I used up about 10 aging bananas to make GF muffins... got 5 dozen, only 1 left by the following day at lunch. :D
...
Used 2 chicken breasts yesterday to make chicken tacos, also used last flour tortillas in the bag (opened a new bag), the rest of sour cream and opened a new container, used a bag of corn chips, 1-1/2 gallons of milk, and the rest of a container of cottage cheese.

(also used up a quantity of patience with my bickering children... am soooo grateful school ends in 3 weeks).

1 more serving of cat food left.

Used up the pink and grey small balls yarn left over from other projects.

Used up the turkey tetrazzini at supper tonight.

Working on using up more yarn from my stash.

Now for the use it ups I missed this week.

Hubby ate the leftover hotdogs, and steak for his lunches.

I recycled some more socks and darned a couple of pairs of my own.
