Homeless Buddy seems to have accidentally carried off our good throw from that sofa. I accidentally discovered that pinks, burgundy, and turquoise look great on a brown sofa, so the brighter colors in the stash can be used up.
Those colours look great with brown.

I like to read the articles on the Apartment Therapy website, and after a couple of years of everything being gray and white, suddenly they're telling people brown is in and what colors go with it. I was very amused because all our furniture is leather (stands up wonderfully to dogs and cats) and thus is some shade of brown.

The throw pillows I made for the den have burgundy, olive, pink and cream in a plaid (for the sofa) and khaki, light olive, dark coral and pink stripes for the love seat. The furniture is dark brown and the colors really pop against it. The fabric is from some goodies found at the Salvation Army a few years ago.

I used up some more of the skull fabric making masks for youngest DS and I managed to use up a bit of the Star Wars fabric making masks for both the DSs.

I giggle to myself when reading what colours are now popular. I had my house done in blues and greys about a year before they became popular and then shades of green about 2 years before they became popular. My house is now in shades of brown and was turned this way about 4 years ago. Guess I am ahead of the changes. My bedroom however is a butter yellow, with burgundy trim and closet doors. I love it, so very restful to me.

After a very long time of not posting I have used up some polka dot knit making myself a summer top. I hope to list a few more fabric use it ups over the next couple of months.
