I've come to think that half of the challenge is coming up with the books themselves, not just reading them! I've gone through the categories for the challenge and these are the books I've come up with. I haven't filled in all of the categories yet, but a good portion of them. Enough for an update at least! I bought a few of the books through Alibris on Monday and I'm waiting for them to arrive. Others I'll just check out of the library as I need them.
The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles

Randa, we read Kindred last year for my book club. I thought I would HATE it - I'm a NON-fan of science fictiony type stuff, time travel and all that sort of thing. On the contrary, I LOVED it and could not put it down!

I wish I didn't have a mile high reading list for work and for book clubs - I would be all over this challenge. Maybe in time. Thank you for posting this frugal inspiration!!!
