I am finished using up cotton fabric to make masks. I do have a bit left if someone requests one though and can whip one up very quickly.

I saw where nurses were having problems with the elastic in facemasks rubbing on their ears and where sewists were making headbands with large buttons so the elastic would not wrap around the ears. I have some knit remnants and will make some for the nurses here at our hospital. Ways to use up what I have are wonderful.

Still using up scraps and bits/bobs of yarn. Some in the temperature blanket and then the rest in the bands for the nurses here. I have run out of large buttons though and so will have to put those aside.

Taking the rather large ball of leftover yarn from the prayer shawl and knitting myself some socks. The sock drawer is getting pretty empty (once socks are darned too often they hit the rag bag). I am hopefully going to get two pairs out of this yarn.

Decided that I would knit some more socks from leftover yarn. I finished the two pairs and went searching for more yarn that could be used. After all why buy sock yarn when there is probably something in my stash that can be used.

I found lots and decided that knitting projects for the month will be socks. I am hoping to get at least 6 pairs off my needles before I feel the urge to do something else.

It has been awhile since I posted in this thread. I did use up yarn suitable for socks and managed to actually get 8 pairs ready for winter wearing.

Now this month I worked on using up those bits and bobs of yarn suitable for mittens. I have two more days left to knit on them and I am giving myself three days to weave in ends and sew the side seams. This used up more of the yarn stash I seem to have accumulated.

Next couple of months it will be matching up yarns and patterns to make Christmas gifts.

I managed to make 14 pairs of mittens for oldest DS to distribute at his school (that is if school stays open long enough for them to need mittens).

I now matched up some yarn and have started to knit Hubby a sweater for Christmas. I am about mid way through the back...Need to step on it I think,
