Excellent report from the Retinal Specialist yesterday. Vision has improved after losing ground for a few months. Of course, they are very careful concerning Covid and I like that. I also like morning appointments, so I am scheduled for an early one next month.

I have joined several more FB sites that are frugal or recycle oriented. I wish there was more on realistic ways to reduce plastic use. That is one area where I feel I really fail.

The rest of the week is supposed to quite hot, so early watering and then staying out of the heat. After researching the modern farmhouse look, I have concluded that the end pieces on curtain rods don't seem to matter. So I will buy a curtain rod for the front window today and also a rod for the door. Hubs thinks a curtain over the door is dumb, but the front door has a window and I prefer to cover it at night. He still thinks it is dumb. Interesting how when it was the window in his bedroom, it was not dumb to cover it.

I will buy curtains for the windows at the thrift stores. That may be a challenge since I rarely see enough curtain for a big window. It will be interesting for sure and hopefully frugal. I have some ideas what I want. The curtain rods and curtains will probably be my goal for the week although I don't want to push too hard after my eye injection.
DG Happy to hear you had a good report regarding your eyes.. Do you still have to continue with your eye shots for the rest of your life to maintain what you have gained?

Interesting question Janet. It appears that I will have to continue shots at this time. But the science is continuing to research it, so who knows what the future will bring.

At least you do have the ability to have the shots and improve your vision so much. Good luck.

Thanks Janet. Yes, I am lucky to have a good doctor and treatments. Grateful, it is only one eye.

Thursday am

I will soon find out if the fish I just had for 2nd breakfast was still fresh. It smelled ok and tastes ok. But......

I turned the house temperature up one degree. It may be silly, but less load on the old unit. It looks like the repair on the car trunk lock didn't work as well as I had hoped. Did a bit of research on it last night when I was awake from a bad dream. I think I will call my repair shop this morning and ask them what kind of lubricant they would recommend.

I have a feeling a hurricane will pop up soon. The gulf water is very hot. I might do some shopping today since it is too hot to work outside. Also put up some more peppers. Some plants to transplant if I feel up to it.

I also have paperwork to organize. Plenty to do.

The second wave of Covid is happening as predicted. What do they expect when thousands of people crowded into churches for memorials, marched, looted etc with no social distancing or masks? Yet, law bidding people who stayed home are to blame somehow, so we all must wear masks, except in one county in Oregon where only white people have to wear masks. And Cuomo insisted that his order to send Covid people to unprepared nursing home that infected and killed so many was just "shiny objects" for his political opponents. Calling people who died as a result of his order shiny objects seems cold blooded to me. Glad our governor didn't do that.

The bad people are shooting at truckers around the country. Luckily, none have been harmed. But the supply lines could become unreliable as truckers stop driving. Tough times ahead.
