The recent proposal by the Democratic candidate for President to spend 700 Billion dollars on American products and research is interesting. It is generally acknowledged that it will require a tax increase. Preliminary estimates peg the Federal tax increase to about 50% which is equivalent to the average European country tax level. In a recent public discussion with members of the New York financial community, Bidden assured them that "nothing will change." That suggests that ordinary people will carry this tax burden. Europeans enjoy many social programs in return for their tax burden that will not be available to most taxpayers in the US. So taxes in, nothing in return is a likely result. I have lived in high tax states and it generally creates a "shadow" economy. Well, like the saying goes "A fool and their money are soon parted." But as Kermit the Frog memes would say, "Not my problem."

This weeks goals are simply to continue with porch and shed organization with an eye to the sky, hurricanes/tropical storms. And continue to plant moonflower vines along the south fence.
