Good morning fellow frugalites,

Mackie, I decided that today I just needed to relax with my coffee and watch the skies change.. Just a bit of a rest time as well as prayer time.

I hurt today, now whether that means a major change in the weather, or I have overdone things I don't know. I do know that all I plan on doing today is walking, cleaning/putting away the dishes in the dishwasher, and perhaps taking a drive to look at plants (I yearn for some greenery surrounding me). It may be that I take it easy for the next few days.

So now you all know my plans for the day. Seeing that if I don't spend money on buying said greenery it will be an extremely frugal day. This after a very unfrugal and spendy week so far. We have not managed to sell the rims as of yet, but there is still hope. That cash would replace the cost of the exchange of tires on my vehicle and part of Hubby's repair on his truck (not much but a smidgeon). Still have two people interested in them one of whom is coming today at some point and another who would like to see them on Friday. As I have said before we really do not have great luck selling things on the garage sale sites.

Still working on the 1981 temperature blanket. I am having a problem sitting for extended periods of time and need to put my work down and walk the house for a bit before picking it up again. This causes me to be sidetracked by some other project or cleaning/tidying job. Not at all conducive to getting anything done.

I also think that I am under a bit of stress over the whole pathology report thing. Keep thinking that if it was bad the doctor would get me in sooner...but then I remember this specialist while great, needs a bit of work in the bedside manner department. Sighs...only a couple more weeks of waiting.

I did not get the baskets positioned yesterday so may do a bit of that today at some point (at least the smaller of the large ones). I will be walking and since the pots are not terra cotta are not very heavy. The heavy ones I will leave for Hubby to position.

Supper tonight is soup and sandwiches. I am going to pull out the beef soup from the chest freezer downstairs. One more item cleared out, and one more meal I made ahead gone. I will probably do some more of this type of cooking the week before I go to the capital for my appointment. Just in case.

Today I am grateful for another beautiful, sunny day. However some nice soaking rain would be perfect as well.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

Jackie (((HUGS))). Perhaps you should call the specialist's office and determine if your report has arrived, rather than make another long journey in a couple of weeks and not get any news.

My poor DH, who has had sleep disturbances since having Covid last July, has been having a terrible time lately and slept only a couple of hours last night. He went back to bed this morning after I got up. He is trying to get a sleep study done under our insurance, but it's taking a while.

I'm having a quiet morning so far. Yesterday on the way home I stopped at the grocery store and bought the remaining secret pal gifts for work: he wants Skittles candy and bottled iced tea with lemon. We had some tissue paper and a little basket at home to package the gifts. In a few minutes I will make a gift card and sneak them over to my pal's office.

I flunked the "never shop while hungry" rule and also came home with fried chicken from the grocery deli and a small carton of red wine. I regret nothing! It was delicious. :-D

It's a bit chilly here this morning but not raining, so it should warm up some. I hope everyone has a peaceful day.

Good morning beautiful people,

It’s cloudy and cold outside once again. We had some heavy frost last night. I have already gone and collected my Walmart pickup order. For once, no substitutions or unavailable items. The groceries have been put away. This was a small order, about $100.00. I didn’t buy any meat at all.

Dh has a medical appointment this morning at the hospital. I will drive him there and he’ll walk home. If he had gotten ready earlier, he could have walked there as well. It’s not far -about 900 metres.

I thought I had some mould on the bottom shelf of my fridge yesterday. I tried everything I could think of to remove it. But then I managed to lift the glass apart from the ledge and that’s where the moisture had gathered. I cleaned it out really well with vinegar, made sure I dried it and replaced the glass back down. Now my 29 year old fridge is as good as new again. Today I plan on vacuuming upstairs and will clean the ensuite.

I have some reading and exercise on my agenda and that will be about it for today.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I am wishing you the best with your appointment. I think your assumption is correct. You would have already heard from your doctor if there had been cancer. With my last colonoscopy, I had a polyp removed. It was not cancerous but the type that will develop into cancer over time. So needless to say, glad it was removed.

Hello friends.

Normally I go to mom’s house on Thursday morning/early afternoon but today my friend wanted to switch our coffee get together from Friday to today. It’s the first time we’ve met for coffee in awhile and will use the outdoor seating at Starbucks. It will actually work out because after coffee, 3 or 4 p.m., I’ll then go to mom’s house and do trimming and if it is cool enough I’ll water the plants on the other side of the house.

This morning I’ll go through more papers. Getting rid of books and magazines is good but it is more important to get my paperwork as streamlined as possible. A young gal on YouTube has all her family’s important papers (birth certificates, house papers Etc. ) in one folder. I’ll definitely never get to that point but I need to be much better.

Have a good day.
