Good Morning frugal friends,

It got nice and warm here yesterday. I had to shower after my hour-long walk.

After work I hope to sew some more. trim the t-shirt quilt, add a top and bottom border and then work on piecing the backing.

I did register for Ohio's Vaxamillion lottery. Why not?

Have a great day,
Maggie

Good morning Maggie and all.

I’m thinking of Patty and hope she is home and recovering well.

I had a good sleep last night. After a stressful day yesterday at my eye appointment and driving with dilated eyes, I’m looking forward to a fun day today. My friends and I are going to a new restaurant (really more of a beach bar) right on the beach for lunch. I did not see a menu online but I think it is mostly burgers and sandwiches. There is both an inside restaurant and covered patio.

My friend is going to pick me up at mom’s house because the main road in my area is such a mess, especially for her returning home. (Driving home from the vet yesterday after 5 p.m. took longer than Pippi’s whole appointment.) I could drive myself today but parking is limited at the restaurant.

I’m decluttering a cat puzzle by giving it to my friend’s daughter. I texted her earlier this week and she loves it even though she has limited time (3 children). For now I’m keeping most of my puzzles but I have two that I’d like to give to the library when they start accepting them.

Last night I watched episode 5 (of 7) of the Queens Gambit. I’m enjoying it!

Have a good day.

Good morning fellow frugalites,

I am up a tiny bit later than usual, but I must be getting conditioned to it a bit. I only feel slightly rushed this morning and yet I do feel off kilter. Something feels different and I can not for the life of me put my finger on it.

Part of it is stress, the wondering what the specialist will have to say this time, part is just the blah feeling of not being fully vaccinated (should be by the middle of next month and ahead of schedule at that ...if I can get an appointment), and probably covid fatigue. Trying my hardest to stay upbeat.

It looks like we got a bit of rain overnight or early this morning. Rain is good, but the other type of moisture not good. I did get my gladiolus bulbs planted yesterday in the perennial bed, hopefully I can weed the area around the hydrangea today and the side bed. If we don't get a bit more rain I will need to water plants this evening.

Frugal happenings here are the usual. I have pulled out my "Green up Your Clean up" book again and will be taking a closer look at some of the homemade cleaners. Must put down spray bottles on my shopping list this week. I have been putting it off.

Grocery/shopping list will be made today. I won't be stretching things out much as hopefully youngest will be coming home this weekend.

Since the city where my specialist's office is will be opening up I am hoping that we can do a bit of shopping. Stock up on a few items from Costco, Michael's and Fabricland. I guess it all depends on how I am feeling after the appointment.

Supper tonight is going to be soup. I still have a couple of containers of hamburger soup in the freezer as well as some homemade tomato soup. Those need using up. Probably make some sandwiches to go with the tomato soup if I make it.

Today I am grateful for the bit of rain we have gotten and hoping for more.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

Good morning all

It was another stormy night. My big dog was shaking through it all. Shes so scared of the thunder

So sleep was off and on.

It is dark outside. Oh and my weather alert phone app went off very loud at about 6. We are under a flashflood watch. Towns down by the coast are flooding

We shall see what the day brings

I have washed my hair and am in the process of changing my bed. I have the bottom sheet on the bed. I need to finish making it. The clean sheets are in the dryer.

Dinner is going to be leftover Fried chicken and carrots. They need to be eaten.

I also need to finish unloading the dishwasher.

I have to fold some laundry.

This afternoon I have a Tele-medicine appointment with one Doctor.
