My phone kept buzzing with texts

I knew it was not good news. I finally checked it

My cousin that had the virus passed away this morning. Her older brother died from it late last year. Her mom passed a few months ago.

Crazy. They said she was getting better. Not even hospitalized.

Oh Clem. I'm so sorry. Was your cousin about your age? I remember when my cousin George died earlier this year it just struck me that he was almost exactly my age. It really hit home.

Ten years older - she was 71

She did have Parkinson's and was in pain. Her sister told me that she was ready to be with her husband. She was at peace.
