Update!

Just got back from grocery shopping. Got 4 big bags of stuff with the gift certificate (Christmas present) from my sister. It was really very nice of her. I am also glad I hired that service to take me to the store and haul in my groceries. By the time I'd wandered through the store for about an hour, my back was SHOT! It was so nice that Auntie's Here! brought them to the door. Now? I just need to put them all away. I got enough hamburger(on sale) to make a tortiere (I already have the pork, a gift from a friend), Taco Soup, and my birthday Chili. I got my stock up on capellini pasta (I find the spaghetti is just too thick a noodle for my liking), my favorite spaghetti sauce and some other staple items like soy sauce and pancake syrup, stuff you only by once in a blue moon.

I'm just resting my back for a wee bit before I start putting things away.

I was going out and start the Van but I may have to leave that until tomorrow. It's still very nice out and we aren't to get the really yucky weather that's going to hit Jackie's until late Thursday night or Friday morning. The really lousy part is it is supposed to have icy rain. UGH! :x

I think after I get the groceries put away, I'll sit with a couple of cups of coffee and catch some Netflix or some stuff I have recorded.

MJ, a little over 40% of the population here is not vaccinated at all and our idiot governor signed a bill before Christmas that did away with mask mandates except in medical facilities. From a public health standpoint, it's a disaster.

Got a text message from our youngest. He did a rapid test and it came out positive. He says he will go to a testing center once he gets some energy back. Symptoms so far are a sore throat, fever, and a bad cough. He also has no energy.

Hopefully the virus gets no worse. He was concerned about how we are feeling. However he left 14 days ago so I have a feeling he caught this at either his place of work, or while shopping in the city.

Did some more hand quilting and have come to the realization that this is going to take longer than I thought.

I made my yearly check up appointment with the specialist to check that I am still cancer free.

I even made a loaf of bread. Now contemplating making some pudding for dessert.

The two cabinets are nice and tidily organized as well. There are two glass containers that need washing before I put them back and that will be done tonight while doing other dishes.
Sending positive vibes your way. Please keep us posted on your son, and your upcoming appointment.

Our school district is going remote. The numbers here are so high.
Our son and daughter in law kept our girls out of school for a week before the school went remote. Too many sick kids...lax on protocols. They had been in constant contact with the school...the unvaccinated students were out quarantining...and were given online zoom classes. Kids whose parents were keeping then out for safety reasons...were NOT allowed to participate in the zoom classes! Unbelievable.
Our girls are both in high honors classes and work so hard. They both felt so unsafe in school. We are all vaccinated and boosted.
This is just so endless.

wow - that is a lot! So far the death count in our county has not changed much.

One of the mayors of a very small town did pass from the Covid. And i was told that she was not vaccinated. Even though she was a pharmacist. Did not "believe" in the vaccine. What can you say - this is red texas.
