MackerelCat wrote: Wed Jun 29, 2022 8:49 am Good morning all. I'm going to have a busy morning, as I have to unlock every door in every apartment in this huge building for the cleaning crew. Will definitely get my steps in. Not going to jump up and start that until my tea cup is empty, though. Gotta have the fuel in the tank. :-D

Our two youngest dogs desperately want to play with Dora, the new cat, this morning. She was behind our bedroom door this morning and would reach through the crack between the door and the jamb to tap the dogs on the nose. The dogs thought this was great fun! I had to practically pry the dogs off the door to get their medication and dental treats into them. This is why it's hard for me to get out of the house some mornings.

The homemade fruit fly trap I added yesterday to the two store-bought ones caught a dozen flies between yesterday and overnight, but that wasn't all of them in our office. I finally had to put in a work order asking for an exterminator to come. We think it's the weather and that the door opens to the outside under trees, because we keep things clean and take the trash out every day.

Hope you all have a lovely day. Clem, you are a great sister. FloridaCat, I hope all continues smoothly with your recovery. JCKitty (((HUGS))).
It almost sounds like Dora Kitty already considers herself “head pet” in the Mackie household. She is a joy.

morning.

Weather is 76 right now and I am appreciating the ability to have the windows open for awhile. It is supposed to get into the high nineties today but I'm appreciating the coolness this morning.

Yesterday I made serious progress on my studio. I have two big bins of fabric pieces that need to be sorted but those things are in bins and everything else is doing pretty good. I can work again. I also went on line and chose three fat quearter sets (one halloween, one Christmas and one in the colors of my home decor) to order on payday.

This afternoon I have a walmart pick],8iup and I am kicking myself for forgetting vitamins and a couple other things but I'll get them later.

This week is annual inspection time sort of. They don't actualy inspect the apartments but they come and check the sprinklers and the smoke detectors and all the electricial stuff (we have electric heat so no carbon detectors). and the head management walks and escorts them so this is our chance to ask questions and mention things that maintenance may have not done. For tunately I have no issues like that, although I do want to paint and touch up my railing (happy to do myself) so I want to check if she has specific paint requirements.

Other than that this is a day that will be spent project planning and perhaps some organizing and online time with some knitting. Tomorrow I will jump back into creating seriously. I also have like three reserve books that have hit my kindle.

Time for some eggs and toast, she said.

Good morning all.

It's going to be another nice day today and right now is absolutely perfect, 70 with low humidity. It will however be going into the mid-80s which will be fine if humidity does stay low.

All my household chores (including the dusting from yesterday) and exercising is finished and I've had the opportunity to play a few computer games and have 2 conversations with my sister. I've also looked over one food ad which arrived this morning, my local store's flyer wasn't yet available. Tomorrow I can get them on the internet for the 3 remaining stores.

I want to take a trip over to my local shopping center to Mattressfirm. i've been needing a new mattress for sometime and with the July 4th sales want to take a look around. I'm not going to replace the box spring as when I turned my mattress a few weeks ago, there wasn't anything wrong with it. I know they'll give me the routine sales pitch, but not buying it.

I want to do some coloring this morning and then work on my puzzle a bit more. It's come together quite nicely. I'm at the toughest sections now and they are both flower groups and they will be harder to do than the 2/3rds I have completed.

Going to treat myself to a Mooyah's burger tonight. I have a coupon B1G1F.

Well that's it for now. Have a great day.

Good morning all

Have had one cup of coffee. I can barely finish it. I remember when two was the minimum for me. Had to have it as soon as I got up

Slept okay - did wake up in the middle of the night. Very weird. The night we didn't have AC and I slept with the windows open - I slept like a log! I decided to get up at 7:30. Might as well just roll with it.

Ill sibling should be moving tomorrow or Friday. As I said before - we - her siblings - have basically been told to stay away. The DIL did mention about one brother helping - since he has a truck. But he said he hasn't been told anything. And he does have a job. Oh well.

We did get the so much needed rain yesterday. I was a steady stream. Much cooler outside also. So glad that this horrible month of June is almost over - bad weather etc. Not the best birthday month i've had -

Have a great day.

I am tired this morning, the area outside my window is now a muddy mess.

One section of the sidewalk is covered in mud.

There is very poor drainage back there.

I have zigzaged the cut edge of some fabric this prevents raveling. I put the fabric into the wash.

I just have to get started.

For a couple of weeks I have been looking for the slipcover for my pressing pad, I put it in the wash I sent to HappyNest, it had been folded and was with the dish towels.

Will you sister be moving into assisted living or just closer to her children?
