I am so sorry to hear this. Venting is allowed. As is screaming and crying and throwing things throughout the process.

I wish comfort and peace for your husband during this time and hospice will help with that. Please allow them to do the things that they do.

Don’t give up hope just because of hospice. Husband went on it after a bad heart attack and took himself off after 2 months.

Hi,

Yesterday was a roller coaster

In the morning a Dr came by and said that DH had a few days left without medical help, but that the help would only work for so long. The hint was that his time is near. (good grief!!)

Then in the afternoon the same Dr came by and said that we are looking at months !!!!!!

DH is out of the ICU, he called me at 1 am to tell me that they had moved him. I wanted him to call.

we have a "meeting" with family, DH I, and SIL, with palliative care tomorrow.

I think that boxes are being checked so that DH can come home.

I'm happy that he will be coming home, but I'm also scared.

Again, Thank you so much, my friends.

ICFrugal, I know you have more than enough to worry about, but the inconsistent information you are getting from your DH's doctor about his prognosis has to be both hard on you and having an impact on planning for his care. Plus, it makes that doctor sound like an uninformed idiot. Don't ever feel like you can't say, "Hang on a second. That's not what you said this morning."

(((HUGS)))

I hope you can get him home soon. Still have you both in my prayers.

IC, I am continuing to pray for you and your DH.

Accept any help from relatives, neighbors and friends. You must be exhausted. (((Hugs)))
