Good evening!

It's been raining since this afternoon. It may be 50 out there, but it feels like a damp cold that goes right through you.

It's interesting to hear about your cities. Me, I'm in a suburban section of a big metro area. I'm fortunate that we're situated near plenty of shopping, though there's plenty of "musical chairs" with restaurants and shops coming and going. I once lived in a medium-size city and enjoyed it, but like many of you, I want to have access to hospitals/specialists should we need them.

So, today was sort of a wash and repeat of yesterday. Still dealing with taxes ( I need to go look up some stuff in a couple of areas. Apparently I didn't get some forms. Or maybe they've just decided we can go online to get them. ugh.) Hopefully will finish up work for the week tomorrow.

Hockey and college basketball on the tv tonight, so we have entertainment, LOL!

Owned, still hoping your dog will get back to you.

Have a good evening, folks!

Hi everyone,

It was cloudy and rather warm at 60 deg. I got a walk in. The time change is still kicking my rear.

Yesterday I made phone calls. I hate making phone calls. I made an eye doctor's appointment. I called the body shop again! Still waiting on the back0ordered bracket and I scheduled an interior detailed cleaning for DS's car. I have no idea how he let's his cars get so filthy. Lots of dust and dirt. I mean I get the straw wrappers and the crackers in the back seat form the kids... And he did practically live out of it at times. But still... And he never cleans it. He is lucky when he gathers up the trash. Anyways, since I did not have to rent a car and I have no idea if the insurance would still be paying for a rental, I am grateful for the use.

I live in a very urban area, similar to LWolft. My city is about 3/4 of a million people, Cincinnati is 1.77 Million. The city centers are 50 mile apart. Columbus Oh is about 90 minutes away. LWolfT is also about 90 minutes away. And the area between Dayton and Cincinnati just continues to increase in population. There have been predictions we will become a combined metro area like Minneapolis-St. Paul. Loads of people commute both ways. If I lived in a more rural area, I'd stock up so much more than I do. I am not so sure I'd like rural living. I did like city living right after college.

Have a great day,
Maggie

Update:
The weather this evening sucks! Windy and cool but so humid. It isn't really raining but like a heavy mist, just creepy.

Hamburger sandwich for supper, nothing really sounds good. It has been a lazy day, DD1 brought home some pansies, but we will wait a couple weeks to plant because...winter....

Tomorrow I will probably do floors and deep clean the bathroom. I just remembered I bought some ice cream sandwiches...dessert!

I moved my laptop, printer, and pile of paperwork to the bedroom and dug into it. The most tedious thing was going ahead and applying for state retirement, which I probably don't qualify for as part of my time was classified as part-time at 37 hours per week.

I made up a photo collage of Dora Kitty and sent it and a letter to the rescue we adopted her from to let them know how well she's doing. That was fun. Also printed out a ton of recipes I had emailed myself, scanned some stuff, and cleaned up my laptop.

Tomorrow I need to tackle the messy drawer in the big filing cabinet. Also need to put the Powell's book app on my laptop and see about selling some excess books. Not looking to make a lot of money so much as clear some space.

It did warm up by late this afternoon, making it pretty pleasant to walk outside with Goldie Dog.
I did the same with my Bubba. The rental folks from next door asked us to take him in - he still had his shelter info tag. I e-mailed them and they were happy to see an update. They mailed me his intake info. I do wonder who his original parents were. Next door rental neighbors got him from the shelter.

Which makes me antsy - just because a person gets a pet from a shelter does not mean that they will be the perfect permanent pet parents. Do have to say that those neighbors did come by after a year to see if he was still here and doing okay.

Okay - My small town is about 25 miles south of the big city of San Antonio Texas.

I can't believe that I used to drive to work back and forth daily. It was so relaxing in the morning - evening too. Now no way. I did live in the city once and darn it took longer for me to get to work from ten miles away then it did from 25. The traffic was awful.

Our small town area has been getting more businesses and other things - bigger hospital for example.

If I never go back to the big city, I would be okay.

Heck I think about moving down further south where my dad was from. They were excited when they got a Dollar Store!

Offering a reward we hoped if anyone had her, they would return her. I believe someone has her. She was less than 25 lbs and friendly. Neighbors have not seen her. I have 2 more dogs, but she was my chair buddy so I really miss her and she was my daughters dog.
I hope she finds her way home.
