Dec 17 - Deer Strike
Dec 28 - I finally did someone else's job and arranged to have the car towed (Body shop responsible)
Jan 9 - The body shop (at a dealership) finally realized they had my car. - Lack of communication between the service desk and the body shop.
Feb 6, The insurance co. Closes the claim because the car has moved to re-assembly and the insurance paid.
Feb 13 - They are waiting on the correct bumper. wrong one had been shipped
Mar 1 - Waiting on a back-ordered mount bracket
Mar 15 - same as above.

I made the phone calls. Body shop only called me once.

I am up early! I slept almost all through the night. Got up at 5:30 to use the bathroom. Its not cold so didn't get to stay under the warm blanket.

I'm thinking of what I will do today. Maybe some laundry?

Also overcast here, but no rain today. Or so far.

This month has zoomed by. Crazy.

Have a great day. Still thinking of Cindy.
Nothing good to report on Cindy. Have not heard anything since I turned her out the afternoon of March 14. I just have to hope if she is still alive someone is being kind to her. Still have posts on all the animal pages, such as Knoxville lost and found and Animal pages. Have her picture and reward .

I've been praying for her return. I hope she is safe and being taken care of, poor little baby. :(

Salut mes amis!

I got myself showered today and have been puttering with reading and in the kitchen. Also getting things lined up for next week. I should do some laundry but can do that tomorrow afternoon.

I made a double batch of Sheila's granola, pecan crumbs and prunes. Today, I am currently making a double batch of Sheila's granola but sliced almonds and dried cranberries. I had the pecan and plum granola for breakfast today and it was quite good. Next time? I'll check to see if they have dried peaches or apricots to go with the pecan crumbs!

I am having an afternoon Americano made with my espresso machine. It's so nice to sit in a nice sunbeam and enjoy it! It was a lovely sunshiny day here today.

I've continued to putz around in the kitchen and AGAIN next week too. I am slow as molasses but that's how I have to take things since all of this back junk happened and my breathing mess. It's starting to look better. I have a big bag of garbage to take out tomorrow when I go for lunch. I am looking forward to it as I haven't been there this week. I could use a good lunch too! I had my two dawgs for lunch with hot sauce and mustard. They are always good but I miss my friends.

Supper tonight is going to be Spanish Rice and a Brat. I have some left over from earlier in the week.

Not much else going on around here. Just putzing around and hanging out.

That's the skinny from here!!

Update

Back from my appointment. Tired out so cheated and bought a rotisserie chicken and some potato salad. I will still have to warm up the chicken, but Hubby will cut it all up for me.

I had to wait almost 45 minutes in the small room for the specialist to come in and then the computer was extremely slow. Still did get my results and another year of being cancer free. What a relief, for some reason I was kind of worried about this one. So was Hubby as I cut my hand and it isn't healing very well. Mind you it is in a place that is always rubbing against something and I reopen the darn thing.

I think we will now go and get our cruise in the Greek Islands set up. I wanted to make sure I did not have to undergo treatments first....

Off to get a few things done that didn't get done this morning.

Decades ago when I still ate fish (it was the last meat I gave up), a friend used to bring smoked salmon, cream cheese, fresh dill, capers & water crackers to get togethers. It was his way around having to cook in order to contribute to group meals. He'd leave the leftovers.

Salmon, cream cheese, and dill in an omelet is amazing. In a pinch, salmon flakes in scrambled eggs is pretty good, too.

I still do it, there's a vegan salmon substitute made by a company called Sophie's that one of the grocery stores near here carries. It's expensive but it does a surprisingly good job of mimicking salmon (either that, or I've totally forgotten what the real thing is like and just appreciate the fake, LOL).
