Gas prices!!! What are yours?

Right now, station across from the office is $1.74. Costco and Same are at $1.54.

My husband is in a discount program with Mapco gas stations, and he snagged a deal whereby he filled up for $1.18 a gallon on Sunday. We decided he is now King of the Gas Wars.

The station at the foot of the hill leading out of our neighborhood has had regular gas at $1.36.9 for several weeks. For one day, it bumped up 10 cents and then dropped right back down. While it was low, I bought a half tank of gas -- a smidge more than 5.5 gallons -- for $7.69.

Lowest I seen is $1.61, not counting ones with a car wash that give a lower price.

We got as low as $1.17 a couple weeks ago when I didn't need gas, LOL, but were back up to $1.33 Monday when I filled. Now it's at $1.37 - $1.39 depending on which station.

Why the spike? Who knows. I think they make it up as they go along. "How much can we get today before they get suspicious?"

Its not like the cost of transporting it has jumped. Or the cost of the raw product.
