Howdy, Howdy! The reason you got that message is because it most likely only supports 2G, which is a very old and outdated communications standard. AT&T's upgrading its entire network so they want to focus their towers on supporting the newer standards like 3G, 4G, etc. hence the reason they're going to end 2G support. Luckily, GoPhone smartphones that support up to 4G LTE are extremely cheap, and you can get a really nice Nokia Lumia 640 straight from the AT&T website for only $29.99!

So, ladies, bust out the mac n cheese, pull your change jars out and go get a newer phone!

That is the reason Tracphone is changing phones. I had a newer phone so it didn't affect mine.
