I too have a lot of weeds in the front landscaping area.. They are so hard to keep down despite being removed over and over again and putting down 5 layers of weed barrier and rocks. I will not use any kind of weed killer due to the danger. We are expecting a nice day today but with a chance of severe storms tomorrow so will not plant anything until later in the week but at least they will be here and ready to go when the time is right.

Yesterday I checked my peach trees again and they are starting to produce tiny little peaches. I am checking in to getting an alarm system for my driveway.. Two years in a row I have had someone come in at night while I am sleeping and they stripped my trees.. It really makes me mad and it has to stop.

Have a good and frugal day.. Janet Alliesmama
GGGRRR I would be upset also, so what is your alarm going to do? Lights, camera action????

Depending on what I buy it could be lights but it will sound an alarm in my house to alert me that someone is in my driveway and my bedroom is near the flood light switch for outside and I could flip them on in no time. will talk to my contractor about how feasible it is to set up a camera.. I live in a rural area and it is a bit of a drive from the road to my house not a great deal but longer than in town. I just want to scare them and make them aware that someone in the house is on to them and hopefully they will get the message. Janet Alliesmama

Hi group -
Late check in. Up and at them early today (well for me) as I had to get my hair cut and colored. Hubs left and played golf until 3:30 p.m. today so when I got back I had time alone. Cooked a little and then watched one of the many movies I had taped on the DVR. Old movie from the 80s I think called Guilty as Sin. It was ok - not great, not bad. But I had never seen it when it came out.

Made Tawra Kellam's recipe for honey glazed chicken for dinner. It was good - but needs kicked up a notch. It is honey, mustard, melted butter and salt. Next time I am going to kick it up a little with onion salt and garlic powder. I just didn't feel like making the mess of chicken pot pies. But I did thaw more chicken so tomorrow will be my cooking day.

Well therein my fascinating life. Off to pay some bills before bed. Have a great evening frugals.

we have an alarm for our driveway - nothing fancy.

But darn if some cat or even a bee wanders in front of the "eye" - the thing goes off.

Late check-in for me too. I did yard duty work this morning and then got a text asking if I could sub in the after school program where I worked last week. So I will go there tomorrow. Unfortunately either because I forgot my allergy pill before going outside or due to a virus I have some congestion and coughing. Since my shift is only 3.5 hours tomorrow and mostly indoors I want to do it. So I broke out my new kit of essential oils and tried one called "breathe" It's already helping. I will dose myself with one or two more before I go to bed. I hope it all works tonight so I am better in the morning. I also took my allergy meds. I am hoping all this is is allergies and I will be fine tomorrow. We'll see.

Off to bed. Have a restful evening.

Bev

I am hoping that does not happen here since we do have deer and other critters roaming around. otherwise I will be up and down all night.. Where did you buy your alarm? I have seen quite a few places on line and ads for different one.. Janet Alliesmama
