Good Morning friends,

Last night I went over and visited with DS and the Grandson's. DDIL came in later. We had some good discussions.

I got a couple of more boxes packed.

Have a great day,
Maggie

Hello all,

I’m finally feeling somewhat back to normal. I thought I wouldn’t feel the return flight as much because it was in the daytime but I did.

I went to mom’s house yesterday to check on things and turn the water back on. The back yard could use cutting but can wait a few days. There was two inches in the rain gauge so not as much as I thought would be there but of course some could have evaporated.

I bought a thank you card and Visa gift card for my neighbors who took care of Pippi. I bought a few small things for her in the UK but didn’t know what to get him. They don’t want anything but I appreciate them taking care of Pippi.

Thinking all of the people in Florence’s path. It looks like a bad one.

Good morning fellow frugalites,

Like Floridacatlover I am thinking of those in the path of the hurricane.

I phoned my aunt last night and let her know that I would be up there on Sunday sometime in the afternoon. I will probably stay 2 nights, but Hubby joked and said "Aunt I will probably talk you into staying a few more." Little does he know she mentioned something about a week.....

Today I will sew the slashing on the quilt I am making. Hopefully getting it to the point where I can do the sandwiching. I would love to get it completed before I go, but I don't think that will happen.

Hubby has dug out the center perennial bed. I have saved some lily bulbs but know for a fact I did not get some of each colour. Oh well I will replace them if I must. Today he will put down the barrier fabric (I think he should put down plastic first to kill all the weeds or at least as many weeds as is possible). He mentioned something to me about needing me to sew the fabric together...…

I want to dehydrate some oregano and thyme today and pick more tomatoes from the garden. Does anyone know if dehydrated jalapenos are okay. So many picked, but still not enough to make pickled jalapenos.

Still using up my stock pile. Groceries that were bought on Tuesday were well under the limit I had set myself (if I have to, I do go over said limit). Pretty happy about that.

The rest of the day will be the usual frugal habits. You know those little things you do without even thinking about.

Supper this evening will be Hamburgers to use up more of the patties.

Today I am grateful to be having what looks like another beautiful day.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

I think dehydrated jalepenos would be okay. Just be careful with the fumes they would set off.

Good morning all

Still gloomy out there. Lots of rain here in south texas. Its feast or famine when it comes to rain here. We had a dry afternoon, so all you heard was lawn mowers going.

The COD was out there too.

Going to my regular group breakfast. Then plan on early voting for a special election. One of our state senators got indicted and will be heading to the big house soon. So have to get a replacement.

Stay dry - hope all have a great day.
