Good afternoon all.

Janet, I hope that the bad storms are over for you but I know that flooding is ahead for much of your area. I’m glad you are on high ground.

Gayle, scary! I wonder what set that guy off, a fight with his wife or whatever. Stay away from him.

I met my friend at Starbucks late morning. Then I went to moms house. Even though it is very hot, I worked in the back yard for about 1 1/2 hours but in a part of the yard with some shade. Mostly I was pulling up ferns that had taken over an area near the bougainvillea and an area near an azalea that really does nothing because I think it doesn’t get enough sun. A bug bit me and it really hurt so I went inside. It seems OK now. Then I picked up the branches/leave clumps in the front yard and the neighbor’s yard. They are away in Utah. Before I left I watered the pentas really well and put some on the newest plumbago.

When I was taking a break I checked my email and saw that the results were in for my bloodwork. My cholesterol is good, even better than last time. I kind of cheated by eating light the day before the test. My glucose was up, still in the normal range but getting closer to pre-diabetic so I’ll ask my doctor about that.

Tomorrow I have my French genealogy workshop in the morning. I did not get to Salvation Army with my donations today so I may go to the one near the library (which is kind of out of the way) or more likely drop them on Saturday.

Have a good evening.

Update

I will pick a night to go out for dinner very soon. Perhaps even this Saturday as I could definitely use a break from cooking right now.

Called my specialists office and my pre-op paper and tests are all on. Guess I will be hearing from them shortly (well hopefully).

Finished off some more of my planters and I really hope I can get the rest done tomorrow. I do needto replace my coleus as the wind seems to have done a number on them.

Did a bit of quilting this afternoon and will finish it off tomorrow. I hope to get the binding on as well.

Off to do a bit of knitting and then warm up supper and make a salad.

Took care of some things for tomorrows fundraiser.

Visited sibling. He's actively coordinating his move to the veterans' home. He will leave some things there tomorrow and transfer some of his furniture this weekend.

He has a nice electric recliner that helps him stand up. He will need that.

He is being very proactive!

So glad everyone got through the storms okay. Poor little Teddi , Janet. But he probably felt safer under the sofa.

My crazy boss moved his retirement up by six months, so he will be gone after next week, thank heavens. He was busy packing up his office today.

I had a peaceful day today at work. The homeless fellow I was looking after is out of the hospital and doing well. I trained another staff member how to fill in for me when I go on vacation in June. We won't be going anywhere, but a week of getting chores done and good sleep is still awesome.

Hope the weather settles down and you all have a great Memorial day holiday.
