Good morning all.

I’m very happy with my new tires. It is surprising to me that I can feel the difference in the way the car drives.

This afternoon is the play/musical Come from Away. It got a great review in our local paper. I’ll pick up my friend early so hopefully we won’t have trouble parking. I’ve reserved a spot. I’m not very familiar with the area.

I got an unpleasant surprise in my email, a bill for $236 for lab work. Usually it is about $20. I wonder if it was not submitted to my insurance or if my insurance has limits. I’ll call on Monday.

I’m thinking of Kitty.

Have a good day.

Good morning ...
Nice and sunny right now, but rain is headed our way.

Today, need to do some grocery shopping. Will do a pickup at one store since they're offering a deal on cat food if you do that. (I still have a free pickup, or I wouldn't do it, LOL)
Otherwise, the mulberries have come in, so I've picked some and am prepping to make jam. Also need to stem some for muffins ... want to make some to take to a gathering this week, and DH will want some for lunches.
I'm also still working on curtains/windows, etc.
Florida, enjoy your play!
Thoughts with Kitty, too ...

Good Morning! Spent most of last week at a conference in Poughkeepsie, home Thursday night. Picked up my dogs Friday morning and then went to work for a few hours. STILL tired from the trip and related activities.

Accomplished a lot at home this morning, now at Library for a few hours to do some work on mturk. Have to go to a few stores later for household supplies and food. Might hit the farmer's market - but they don't have a whole lot yet.

Off to browse the forum - have a great day everyone!

Good morning,

It has been somewhat cool and windy here. Our Delta Breeze at its finest. This has always been called Sacramento's natural air conditioning. So a/c has been off. Good thing because it was running even at 78 degrees during the three hour high rate period. I try to keep as much off as I can during those three hours but when temperatures get close to 100 it's hard to do.

My friend and I are going to an outdoor concert tonight at our local winery. $15 admission for wine club members and it includes winetasting for the first hour. We are allowed to bring our own food but no beverages. Bottled water has to be unopened. We try to take advantage of our wine club memberships to get our moneys worth. We will be going to other wine release parties as they occur. All in all it's inexpensive entertainment.

Both May and now June have turned out to be spendy months. I am trying to rein that in. I just received my car tax bill for my new van and wowsers! I just wish the State would use that money to help alleviate traffic problems.

I have been gradually stocking up on dried and canned foods to alleviate the sticker shock that is bound to come with food purchases this summer. I feel like we have gone back in to the 1970's. The cost of rents here is beyond ridiculous. On a local forum someone asked what was available for $1300 a month in rent. The locals just laughed. $1300 a month might get you a studio or one bedroom apartment in a so-so area. Mind you this is not the Bay Area proper although with the influx of Bay Area refugees fleeing the even higher costs of living here has brought their traffic and high rents to the Sacramento area. Sacramento was still a low rent State employee town when we moved here 35 years ago.

Been busy cleaning!

I tell you the meds are helping. Starting to organize the back room. The COD has used it as a dumping ground for all the things he buys. Some sort of mental disorder????

I swept and mopped it. Looks so much better. Now have to organize his junk.

Also boxes of old mail he somehow just keeps.

He was working on the bathroom sink and had to remove the drawers. He was going to put his back in and i gave him a look. Its the bigger one. You would think that I, as the female< would need more space. Nope.

But his is full of old medicine bottles. He keeps everything. Hopefully one day he will just throw it all away. He said he would. Not holding my breath. If it wasn't for the many pets, i would just walk away and give him the house.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a super day, it's raining here so not much going on today. I haven't really been to ambitious this week and don't think it's going to change today. Do you all have days that you just don't want to do things? It's not that I don't feel good, it's just I don't want to. That is when I declare a "Libby Holiday". I declared several of those this week.

I am going to make out my monthly grocery list in a few minutes and will probably go and pick it up after church tomorrow. I love the grocery pick-up and don't know when I have been inside a grocery store. I know I'm going to get a sticker-shock when I do.

My son-in-law and grandson are coming over for a visit this afternoon and I need to bake some cookies, will probably get in the kitchen and do that when I finish here.

I was really over budget last month and that is the first time that has happened to me in awhile, usually a little under. I know that some of it was traveling and spending extra money, but I am going to pull out my budget software and put it all down in black and white for this month on my desktop.

Florida, enjoy your concert, Janet hope you are getting breaks between the rains for the roofers to get your roof on. Gayle, hope you can find you a good person to help with taking the children to school when you need it. DGFlordia, so sorry to hear about your knee, I know as active as you are that is cramping your style. My thoughts and prayers are with Kitty today, like Clem I never dreamed that her wouldn't get better and be back home again. Also, praying for Owned and her family.

Clem, glad to hear that your brother is doing better. Jackie, glad that you got that air conditioning installed and it didn't take as long as the furnace, now to get it working to your satisfaction.

Well, those cookies aren't going to bake themselves so I guess I need to get started. Everyone, have a wonderful day.
