evening update:

Cooked on the grill...first time ever using it. I use real charcoaled wood pieces not briquettes and holy moly was the food ever good. I made 6 burgers, 2 chicken breast and 6 cheddar sausage dogs. I figured if I had the thing going I might as well cook ahead for lunches.
I think next week I will buy a half pork butt roast and smoke/grill it for pulled pork and etc. My mom and dad never grilled, they didn't like the taste but I love it.

I made my ramen noodle salad and seriously think I could founder myself on the stuff, LOl.

So the fridge is stuffed with salads and food. Hopefully sometime this week I can start defrosting and cleaning the deep freezers. I hope to have them done before time to start adding produce.
I also have potatoes that need used up, I used so many feeding my dad and now have too many. I used to make and freeze mashed potatoes "ala LittleMiss" and that worked well, think I will do it again.
Wind is really picking up, better get the rugs off the lines.

Kitty, I am glad to see you cooking and staying busy. I know you have probably seen me post this before, but in case you haven't you can also slice the potatoes up, don't cook them till they get soft, I'd say about 4 minutes then use them to make Potato Au Gratin, a potato casserole, or hash browns.

I also, dice them and cook about the same length of time for potato salad, just don't put your condiments or dressing in it until you thaw and cook to the texture you like your potatoes when making fresh potato salad. I tried making potato salad and freezing it, but I didn't like the taste or texture. Now that I have my air fryer I am cutting them into french fries, coat them with a little olive oil and flash freeze them after I cook for a couple of minutes. When you remove as many as you want from the bag you can just put the rest right back in the freezer for another time. I love the mashed potato ones and I can take a couple of (muffin frozen mashed potatoes) load it up with cheese, sour cream, green onion and bacon, I can't tell the difference from using a baked potato out of the oven.

Your salad sounds wonderful, would you share the recipe? I love salads in the summertime.

I thought of that but at the same time he just saw her a few days ago. He does not seem to be distressed right now. Sometimes after they throw up they get better. I will keep an eye on him that is for sure and if he seems to be getting worse I will take him in to their emergency care. Right now he is getting up and following me around and sleeping when I do sit down.In fact right now he is grooming himself so that seems like a good sign. Thanks for your concern.
I just hate when pets get sick...they can't tell you anything.

Took Teddi to the Vet this afternoon. Mid morning he came to me and wanted me to pick him up. He was shaking all over.. I petted him for a while and then put a T-shirt on him which seemed to help. Of course at the Vet's office he was shaking but that was out of fear. As we left the Vet's office he suddenly squatted down in the parking lot and passed runny mucus. Then in the car on the way home he threw up a lot. He had not eaten since yesterday evening. The Vet will call me tomorrow with his test results and I will tell her what has happened and see if he needs to come back in. I hope it is something that can be corrected with medication. Poor little guy.
I do hope you get an answer very soon as to what is wrong with Teddi.

Update

I actually got into the stylists early, she messaged me on Facebook that she was ahead. I was in and out in 15 minutes. BW does a fantastic job on my hair.

I was vacuuming today and my vacuum brush quit. Silly thing is only 2 years old Hubby is going to try and fix it. I have a feeling though that I will be getting a new vacuum. However I am going to wait for awhile, I can always use the shop vac for awhile (though it is really noisy).

Seems like things break down in threes around here so I wonder what is next.

Off to do some more reading of the forum.

Janet and Gayle, I hope your doggies both feel better soon.

Two of our three dogs were at the vet today, one for her check up and annual shots, and another for a dental cleaning. They both did really well. The vet was happy that our oldest dog, who has a progressive genetic form of blindness, has not lost much vision in the past two years and has not developed glaucoma, which happens with that form of blindness. The specialist who diagnosed her expected her to be fully blind by now. She might hold onto her vision a few more years.

I also took my single mom friend shopping a baby stroller this morning. She suffered a childbirth injury so severe that she has to have surgery for more extensive repair next month. Because of the injury, she finds it painful and difficult to carry the baby and walk, so the stroller was a necessity. Walmart had one for $50 suitable for a newborn and up to 50 pounds, and we got some diapers and household things as well.

So today was expensive, but money well spent. We had planned on going out to dinner to celebrate our vacation, but wound up getting take out Chinese food instead. The atmosphere around our table was a lot nicer than a noisy restaurant and I have leftovers for tomorrow.

Janet, Thanks for sharing that!
Trees this little girl is such a sweetheart. She is only 11 and handles her disease better than a lot of adults would. She has become a bit of a local celebrity and they are talking about making a bobble head with her likeness on it. You have to admire her courage and her enthusiasm. Cannot begin to write what is wrong with her but it a rare genetic disease and could be life threatening. I hope she continues to improve. She has had a fantastic adventure that even adult would love to have had.
