Good morning frugal folks,

Today, I will plan on filling another 2 trashcans with weeds. I have 4 cans so far. The knee is holding up well. I hope to get 2 cans done tomorrow as well. Since pickup is early Thursday, I will have 8 cans to put out. Very satisfying and a good start on regaining control of the yard.

The kitchen planner is going on vacation until August 6. I will make an appointment with her after that date. Early August was my planned time to go in and put my money down on formal measurements for my new kitchen.

I considered taking the car in to get the sensor fixed, but I don't need anything from the store and I prefer to combine driving activities. Hubs has his cheese for snacking. And we have plenty of bacon and eggs and meat for dinner. So this may be a stay home day. By the end of the week, I will need to go out for stuff from Walmart market. The nice thing is that I can leave the car at the auto shop and walk to Walmart market and Walgreens. Historically, they are finished with it by the time I walk, shop and walk back.

Today, I will try to get some extra tidy chores done. Running the leaf blower here and there and cleaning more of the concrete porch with bleach. Maybe do a bit more caulking on leaking gutter spots.

Today, I am grateful for my good life. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning fellow frugalites,

Not quite as cool this morning as yesterday, in fact it is supposed to get quite warm. I don't enjoy the up and down temperatures we have been receiving. I will probably get a bit of a cold from the whole thing.

I did manage to get my to do list accomplished yesterday, even with the extra washing, and I hope to do the same today. It is so very nice to see all those lovely crossed off jobs. I even managed a bit of decluttering as well.

Frugally speaking the same old, same old will be going on here on the old homestead. I will be dehydrating once again today. This time more thyme and oregano. Tomorrow will probably be parsley and mint. My basil is not growing very well at all, so hopefully I can get another few harvests from it later in the summer. I am also getting a fresh crop of blossoms on my lavender plant. I plan on getting in there as soon as they begin to bloom and harvesting those to use in sachets or in lotion bars. I will also be checking the zucchini and strawberries to see what can be harvested today.

Plant watering will be from the water barrel if I am not attacked by mosquitos. Perhaps some repellant would help. If I find it too bad I will end up using the hose for a few. Hubby weeded the center of the perennial bed for me yesterday, so that just leaves the outside and my boxes and pots. I hope to get those done early as well.

Meals, will as usual, be made with what is on hand in fridge, freezer and cupboard.

I will be walking for my daily exercise, and later on doing some stretches or perhaps some of a walking tape. I seem to be eating a bit more and can not for the life of me figure out why. I need to work off some more weight before it starts creeping back on.

The rest of the day will be spent knitting, cutting out a pattern or two and perhaps if I am very lucky starting a couple of Christmas gifts.

Supper this evening will be Spaghetti and meat sauce, so I need to go down to the freezer and bring up some meat to thaw. I think I will make a tossed salad to go with this.

Today I am grateful that I am getting faster at getting rid of the forum visitors. However I need to speed things up a bit in that department.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

Good morning all,

Up early, but feel rested. Does not mean however that I won't take a nap ,LOL
Went to DD1 last evening, my #1son in laws birthday, I think the DD's are trying to keep me occupied in the evenings at suppertime.

Woke up to lower temps and fog...storms yesterday and overnight I heard rumbles of thunder.
Today I hope to get some weeding done in the largest flowerbed, also cut back the fading bleeding heart plant. Also need to mix and fill the humming bird feeders.

Off to get started.
have a great day all

Good Morning,

I came to the office this AM and no one else is here. They are working from home. But my car is at the dealers's for service. so I will be here until 1 PM.

My hip is not bothering me as much. Maybe I will venture out walking. I may have to go to the Mall if it is raining. My weight is still going up. I am not happy about that.

It looks like I have a new boss now according to my company profile. So we'll see what happens.

Have a good day,
Maggie

Good morning. We have a lovely cool morning and the temps will be staying in the 80's the rest of the week. This afternoon Dish is sending out a tech to install my satellite dish on a pole. I did not want it re-installed on the roof due to wanting to maintain the integrity of the new roof. I have been without satellite TV for a long time and realize now how much I enjoyed it for entertainment. I do have an air wave TV but it does not have a recorder. With Dish I can record things and watch them at my leisure. I hate commercials so was able to fast forward through them. It has been torture to have to deal with commercials..lol. Also I do not like to have to watch TV when the program is on. I prefer to record and enjoy it later when it is time to relax. Not much else planned for today other than cooking.

Have a good and frugal day everyone.
