Gayle's Cancer Updates

I’m going to assume that most of you have read my check in from last night (Aug 5, 2019) by now.

Short story was a mass was found on my right breast, so after more intensive tests yesterday, I had a biopsy performed to take tissue samples that were sent in for testing.

Today at 2:36pm I received a phone call from my OBGYN, Dr S, who told me that I have cancer. 😮😳😳😳 After more conversation, during which he mentioned several possibilities, I chose to go to the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, and he said that he’d get his nurse working on getting me an appointment there (because she knows all the right people to call).

So that is where I’m at.

I would ask that if you're a praying person, please add me to yours. Although I anticipate a good outcome because my “mass” is about 7 millimeters, I still admit to some trepidation about the whole process. However, I’m determined to remain positive and optimistic!!😊

I will post more information as I learn them.

Gayle, I’m so sorry. (((Hugs)))

But ... Thank God it was found early. I feel confident that you’ll be fine. I’ve heard a bit about the Huntsman Cancer Center and you are fortunate to have such an excellent hospital in SLC.

You are in my prayers and will continue to be there. You are a super strong lady and have tremendous faith and that will help you along the way.

Oh wow - but i know you will be okay.

They caught it early. You probably won't even need chemo or radiation.

Take care and will pray for you.

Thank God you caught it while it's small. I have every faith you & your doctors will stop it in its tracks, they can do so much now.

You're on our prayer list at church.

Do what you're going to be told by the healthcare folks (my Dad never used a vacuum 'til my Mom's lumpectomy, it was the only time she's ever slowed down, and even with that she should have slowed down even more) and prioritize your health.

Hugs from Oklahoma!
