Good morning all.

Yesterday and the rest of this weekend looks great; low 80s, low humidity. Unfortunately I'm stuck in the house today because I've been having problems with low internet speeds and they're sending a technician today to troubleshoot the problem. Since they weren't having any issues on their end checking the speed and the test I was performing at the same time was significantly different, they suspect it's the modem. I can't even open an email because it won't pull up the ads the mail programs send through. I do have the minimum 100 mbps, but the readings I've been getting have been as low as 68 and the high an occasional 96, but mostly only in the 80 range. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. It makes me angry because my price went up $120 a year in the last 6-8 months with absolutely NO warning. Rant over temporarily.

Busy week . . . had things going every day. Monday was perfect for sitting outside and coloring and Tuesday, I asked my Mom to be my lucky charm because "we" (her and I) were going to the casino. Not only did I win $39 there on their money, when I checked my Take 5 for Tuesday night's numbers I had 3 and won another $22.

Wish I could find a way of making some passive income; not that I need it, but would like to help my niece get out of the situation she's in. Guess I'll just have to keep my thinking cap on. There's no way I'm giving away any more of my savings, especially to kids who don't know I exist except when they need money. I keep reading about all these people with their rentals and selling on Ebay and such and then the kids making millions at the age of 13 or 14. Makes me feel stupid.

I also have to get serious with losing weight. I just keep futzing around and getting nowhere. I can't buddy up with my sister because all she does is tell me I couldn't eat today or I can't eat tonight because I'm going to have my hair done and can't run to the bathroom if I need too. Yada yada yada. She brags about losing 2 - 3 lbs at a time while I can barely lose 2/10s of a pound in a week. When she does that to me instead of losing, all I want to do is eat (and I do) out of sheer frustration.

Well going to go for now. Have a great weekend.

Good morning fellow frugalites

And now we get a rain, not the gentle all day one that everyone would enjoy, but a downpour complete with small hail stones to begin with, driving winds, and loud claps of thunder to start it all off. Still any rain we get is really a blessing as it was so dry.

I had wanted to make a trip out this morning to the Farmer's Market, but I wonder how many booths will be there and how wet I would get before I managed my little bit of shopping. Might just be better to stay home and try to get things done here. I do have beans I can process, as well as some zucchini to shred. Considering how cool it is outside I might even be able to do some baking (couple of over ripe bananas are attracting fruit flies).

Then of course there is always organizing and decluttering to do as well. I could keep very busy with out even leaving the house.

I have started the last of a set of three dishcloths that I plan on putting in the DS's bags, then I will move on to the sewing project I have in mind for them. It looks as if I could actually be finished with Christmas gifts early this year, provided I manage to get the items I need for Hubby's gifts when we head out to stock up shop.

Frugally speaking as is usual I will be using things up, wearing things out, making do and of course recycling where ever possible. Just my usual boring day here on the homestead. Meals will be cooked from scratch (or as close to scratch as is possible) and items in the fridge will be used up as well as a few items from the garden and cupboard (items in fridge are leftovers that will be used for lunches and perhaps supper).

Supper this evening is going to be hamburgers, coleslaw, and I will either pull out the baked beans (the final container in the freezer) or make mixed veggies to go along with.

Today I am grateful for the rain we are getting. It should fill the rain barrel up once again.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

Good morning all,

Up and moving slowly, alittle sore from yesterday but feel okay. Allergies are kicked up, probably from the dust in the garage but looking at the organized garage makes me feel so much better.

Need to make a pan of baked beans for the picnic B-day party this evening, other than that just the usual household chores around here.
Chickens are fed and watered, eggs gathered and next up is run the floor duster. Should be an easy, laid back weekend.

The fiancé got a 10x10 shed delivered to my rental unit. The former houseguest/roommate from years back lives in it and crazy sister in law demanded she move her stored things from the other storage shed, its all part of the bat crap crazy melt down from a month back. Any way, storage shed delivered and in cleaning garage yesterday, 2 shelving units became available to her to use. Will deliver to her sometime this weekend.

Might get rain tomorrow, library books and a pot of tea will be my afternoon plans if we do.
Off to read and do whatever,
Have a good day all,
JCKitty

Good morning. Could not get to sleep until after 4:00 AM and woke up at 6:30 AM.. just so irksome.

I am doing more laundry today. Love hanging it on the clotheslines in the garage. Everything smells so lovely when you bring it in.

Yesterday off and on I loaded up the trunk of my car will drive everything down to the basement. It is more bulky than a lot of items. Then off and on today will try to get the rest of the things in the garage loaded that I want to go to the basement. We have rain moving in tomorrow so it needs to be done today. I will do(2) 10 min stretches of work in the yard with my new weed wacker and call it a day. Actually that will really take care of most of the areas around the house that were driving me nuts, so after today it will be sort of maintenance. Although the rock garden area is still a disaster but cannot use the weed wacker there too much.

Have a good and frugal day everyone.
