I wish I had good news to report about my dn but the prognosis is heartbreaking. The cancer is stage 4 lung cancer and has spread to her liver and bones. There is no cure, only treatment to slightly prolong her life. Dnephew and dn are putting up a very brave face so as not to worry their daughters. I am so sad for them all.

I will try my best to keep busy today.

I am so sorry to hear this news. For this prognosis for someone so young with young children seems so, so unfair (particularly since she never smoked.) I will pray extra hard for her including right now.

Update

There was a break in the rain so I headed out shopping. Shopping day is Thursday (along with bill paying and banking) and it really bothers me to change it. Guess I am a bit OCD in this area.

Back now, having a coffee after all the groceries have been put away. I have already walked over the 10k steps and hope to get a few more in by the end of the day. I would like to keep extending the amount of steps, but will be happy with whatever I get.

Off to enjoy this lovely cup of coffee before getting back to work. Will check in later.

Hello all,

Just now taking time to check in, haven't read too many others posts yet so hope all is well.
I have been really busy this morning, just finished peeling and slicing the last box of apples...4 and 1/2 gallons again this time so 9 gallons overall.

I have "no-peek" chicken and wild rice started for supper tonight, will have fried apples and salad along with it...might add another veg...

I have vacuumed and now need to run the floor cleaner . I bathed both dogs earlier and have their towels washed and hung on the lines to dry. I will rest and read this evening for entertainment.... a good day so far.
Hot and humid again today, we had some heavy rains yesterday....leaves are falling.

off to get started again, looking forward to reading...when list is done.

I’m back home from errands, too.

I was second in line at the cable office and about a half dozen people came after me. Talking with the lady ahead of me I found out that this office is always crowded and often there is no parking. But I easily found a parking place. When I returned mom’s cable equipment I went to a different cable office in a congested area so this was much better.

At the library I picked up La La Land and season one of Homeland plus the Little Book of Hygge. I love my library.

Pleasant surprise at CVS because I got $3 in Beauty Bucks on my receipt. I buy very little makeup but haircolor counts as a beauty purchase.

Mom’s neighbor told me he thought Aldi was closed but I went there anyway and it is still open. I’m happy to get my fruit plus the 12-grain bread is still a good price (although the price has increased.)

I’ll probaby watch some of the debate online tonight. It’s good that so far the networks carrying the debates have offered free ways to see it for those of us without cable/satellite.

wow FloridaCatLover - the last time we got new cable boxes, they told us to just throw the other ones out! it was Directv.

We were kind of leery, so kept them for a few months and made sure that they didn't show up on a bill.

We got rid of them during the city disposal sweep - they took electronics and we dropped them off.
