Good morning ...
Jackie and Creative, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!

Sunny and high 40s right now. Supposed to be a bit warmer today, temps back in the 30s tonight.

Yesterday was a catch-up day. Knocked a bit off the list, and even made a dent in my mending.

On the frugal side, I talked myself out of going to the fabric store yesterday, even though there were good coupons. I don't need anything. I certainly don't need another project right now, LOL! Also found that I do have an extra air filter for the car, so don't have to buy one right now. However, did find two extras for DH's wrecked car, so must try to sell those.

Today, have various things to do ... may or may not run to Meijer for milk. Dinner tonight will be pork roast (leftovers!).

Gayle, if you're reading ... I agree with everyone else ... call for more help with meals!

Good morning everyone it is (45 F) (7 C) with a windchill of (40 F) (4 C). A bright sunny day.. ugh!..lol. I prefer overcast days.

I am going to try to cook ahead today. I keep saying that then life happens. I had planned on cooking yesterday but an RX at Walgreen's was ready. My insurance had been giving them problems so it took about a week. Then again the last time this happened they were trying to bill it to Medicare D and it under Medicare B. So who knows.

I decided while in town may as well go to the bank and do some shopping that was planned for next week. Went to Goodwill and found Teddi 5 shirts. I will have to modify them for him ie cut the sleeves shorter and cut the bottoms off of the onesies and hem them and put in elastic. I will enjoy doing this at night while watching TV. Bought my tuna with the $ 5.03 coupon and found some other bargains. Went to Big Lots to buy one thing and brought home $45.00 worth of things. All will be needed in the near future. The one thing I went for was a bag of organic oatmeal $5.00...lol. Also picked up some makeup and personal products. I do allow extra spending on food items. I am all set for quite a while in the food department except for fresh dairy and veggies.

I have to laugh. I am glad I proof read this before hitting the submit button. Auto correct had switched from organic oatmeal to orgasmic oatmeal. woo hoo.. if only we could buy that.lol. .

Jackielou wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2019 9:06 am Good morning fellow frugalites,

Just a quick check in as I will be heading out for my daily walk very soon. I will try to get back on a bit later, between household tasks and getting our Thanksgiving meal done up.

None of the predicted snow fell overnight and I am hoping the rest of the prediction is off as well. I want some nice weather for the DS's to travel home.

Today I am grateful that as a family we can still gather together to celebrate our various holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving to any and all Canadians on the forum.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.
Happy Thanksgiving Jackie, to you and your family.

Still feeling punk from this terrible cold. It’s now moved into my chest and I have this most annoying hacking cough. Just glad I got sick at home!

We’ll be having Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow which youngest dd has offered to prepare. She’s inviting her bf and a couple of other friends. The only stipulation is Dh and I clear out of the house for a couple of hours. Fine with us! We’ take a drive in the country to look at the fall leaves. Only too happy to pass on the reins of dinner prepping to youngest dd!

Floridacat finally finished posting all my photos on Instagram. Looking back at them, you’d never suspect all of our stress in London. We let our plans go and just rolled with the punches and still had an outstanding time!

Have a blessed day everyone!

Hello friends,

Slept good, tho my toes were cold so I’d wake occasionally to tuck them in.

Sent all 5 children to church. Dh feels under the weather, I think his cold is coming back.

Am sooo tired of sitting!!! I walk around as much as I can before my back aches (10-20-ish minutes). Maybe I’ll go walk around my crunchy, frozen, dead garden for a change of venue.

Time to go read my book and embroider. I did have some ideas this morning of embroidering green triangles in hopes of them resembling Christmas trees, and possibly making cards from them.

Happy Sunday Everyone! I am on a lovely, wonderful, MUCH NEEDED "staycation" and loving every second of it. Will check in when I'm able - a lot of R&R going on and I don't feel guilty in the least. Have a lovely day!
