Happy Halloween to those of you who celebrate.

We have our first hard freeze of the season (27 F) ( -2. C) with a light dusting of snow falling. We broke the record for lowest temp on this date but not the first time for snow. Right now I can hear the wind picking up but it is too dark outside to see the snow.

Yesterday I went for my gastroscope. I have gastritis and a polyp on my esophagus. He did a biopsy of both areas and I am to get the results on Monday. He is referring me to a specialist at a hospital in St. Louis, MO for the polyp he feels it should be removed. Who knew you could have a polyp on your esophagus..lol. It always amazes me how Drs keep getting more and more specialized. He himself is a specialist from St. Louis but has an office on this side of the river too and sees patients at several hospitals over here. He has been my Dr for about 14 years for colonoscopies and gastroscopes. I usually see him every three years for a colonoscopy due to forming polyps in my colon so often. I slept well last night most likely a lit bit of a anesthetic lingering in me.

On the way to the hospital yesterday I saw that someone knocked my mail box over. Actually sheared off the post and parts of the mail box was scattered and my mail was sitting in a puddle. They must have hit it hard since this mail box is suppose to be one that can take a hit and still not be damaged. Late evening I drove my car down the driveway to pick up the debris. Will have to wait until next week to pick up a new mailbox. This is the fourth one taken out by careless drivers.

Not much planned on today other than puttering in the house.

Gayle hope your trip to the hospital for your chemo goes well. Hope the roads are safe. Take care.

Addendum:Looks like I am a day off here. I think going to the hospital yesterday kind of threw me off.

Good Morning,

Janet, here's to good news for your medical tests.

We have rain, I think we are supposed to get Janet's cold weather this evening. Apparently I have a new manger. The team lead is pretty hopeful this will be a good thing. My team is an escalation point for another. the other team is under the same manager. Before we were under different managers and it made access to tools and log difficult. Hopefully this will help.

I paid some bills this morning. Had breakfast and am listening on a conference call.

Have a great day,
Maggie

Interesting. Not sure if the kind I buy can be painted? They are the heavy duty kind that we use in rural areas due to vandalism. Sometimes it is a "sport" for teenagers to go out with baseball bats to see how many rural mail boxes they can take down. However something to check in to. Thanks for the suggestion.

Morning has dawned and I can see the snow falling. The trees, bushes, and my deck are covered with snow. It looks like frosting.. So pretty! The ground is too warm for it to stick. I do love snow but it is too early. We really have not hit our Fall foliage yet. That is supposedly delayed until the second week in Nov but with the hard freeze not sure what is going to happen. Fall is my favorite time of year.

It is very cold here for this time of the year. 36º(2.222 C), not the record low for the date. That was 27 in 1993 with a trace of snow at the air port.

I am going to meet my daughter at Jo-Ann’s this morning then go out to lunch. I arranged for a ride with Via Trans.
