:( Hello Frugals !

Janet I bet your caregiver would love to put up the tree for you and string the lights If you asked them, hope so anyway.

Logics , your room sounds lovely with the lights on............I notice you all in the US do put your trees up a lot earlier than us Brits. Envious !!!!

Jackie , I would be at the Craft Fair in a heartbeat, its cheap entertainment, figure it by the hour, far cheaper than going to the cinema or the theatre. ENJOY.

DH food shopped at Sparrowfart O'clock cos that is how he rolls. He returned with 2 chickens and some chicken breasts as Yellow Stickers. Well done , that man. I have created a Yellow Sticker monster, methinks.

Big breakfast for us all. NOT eating the sausages DH bought ( flavoured with honey and lemon ???????) The DGKS will eat them but not for me. I took DS out early so as not to stress him for the items he felt he must have. Went to BOOTS for the toiletries as had coupons which gave me £4 in points. Spent £17.50 worth of POINTS for another Christmas gift for oldest DS girlfriend. FREE gifts are good ;)

Then on to take DS shopping for clothes. ( You and he have to be in the mood for this , just sayin') His stress levels were down, he knew he NEEDED that coat and so it went reasonably well. A decent, flattering coat ( remember his hunched back ) and hat. He then saw scarves and gloves which I was delighted to buy as they matched so he looks well dressed. Final purchase was a Christmas jumper patterned with small rudolphs. then HOME.

And BREATHE.

I/We had done some investigating re the alleged attack and I have some answers. Some thinsg I just can't post for privacy reasons. There are changes that have been put in place and set in stone. The person dealing with them is someone we trust implicitly.

Something that struck me on the forum was that you here know him better than some of the RANDOM CARERS that are inflicted on us. I thought your comments, IC Frugal were particularly perceptive and correct. That was NOT like him , he does do certain thinsg but I would question if he were even physically able to do what they allege. He moves extremely slowly because of his back pain.

He is here muttering away. DH has had to be elsewhere overnight. We aren't concerned as DS has had all his needs met and we don't need to leave the house. And we may well not bother.

Laundry done, housework basics all DONE. I might tackle the tedious extra stuff or just potter myself.

It snowed a little this week which was a surprise ! Its warm and cosy, I have no meal plans other than DS boring basics enlivened with flavoured teas and hot chocolates.

This week NO SPEND as run out of points to spend. DH and I both want lose a few pounds before Christmas so dull plain meals. Lots of work hours. DH and I might go see Midway or Le Mans using our vouchers but otherwise a quiet week.

Good Morning,

I am enjoying relaxing and watching Food Network. I will go to the grocery in a bit. I used to make sure I was at the grocery before 10 AM on Saturday.

Tomorrow I am having lunch with Cousin N so we can plan our vacation we are taking in 3 weeks.

Have a great day,
Maggie

Hello friends,

Rinty, Your clothes shopping with DS sounds great. You and your DH are SO, SO good to Tom. The Scandinavian-hearts you made in crafty club sound really nice. I love them.

Logics, good for you for getting your tree up early. I’m going to try to get mine up around Thanksgiving. I enjoy it SO much. (I’m with you on the Florida temperatures. I have on shorts. I did wear my medium-weight robe this morning.)

Maggie, where are you and your cousin going on your vacation (if you don’t mind saying?) Good for you. Enjoy.

I got home way after my bedtime last night - almost 11:30 - but had fun at my friend’s condo. She’s a good cook and also an inspiration for decluttering because her condo has no clutter.

I have not had Netflix for about a year and haven’t missed it. But today is the day to sign up again. If you watch The Crown you probably know that season 3 starts tomorrow. I have a $15 Netflix gift card I bought a year ago during a Walgreens deal (buy a $15 Netflix card and get a $5 Walgreens card). I’ve been saving the Netflix card but used the Walgreens card months ago.

For those who do genealogy, the website/databases of the New England Historic Genealogy Socity (AmericanAncestors.org) are all free through Tuesday, Nov. 19. You have to register. This is a good resource for anyone with ancestors from early New England. I was able to print the information compiled on my ancestor as part of NEHGS’ Great Migration project. I’ll look around the site more today.

Stay warm.

Good morning all,

Oh how I hate these pop up ads and banners.

Jackie, I would be interested in the apron when completed...can you post a pic? I wear aprons a lot as I am extremely messy cooking and cleaning. Mine are all stained and messy and I cannot bring myself to use mom's unless I am hosting a holiday.

I have been up and busy, dog rugs and towels are in the washer now, will be hung on the outdoor lines as it is bright and sunny and temps are supposed to be going up.

I am enjoying "The Crown" so much, I wish I really knew how much was fact and how much fiction.

DD took her kittens with her to dads last night...yay! I love animals but my days of raising ornery kittens are past! They really are so cute but destructive! I now need to replace the drapes at the front atrium door...snagged to bits and I had refused to replace them until the kittens were gone.
The fiancé should be here soon with the excavator, he will be digging a hole and burying a pile of "stuff" that the brother brought up here years ago and dumped on the property line behind my pond. Its an eyesore and I have burned the brush on it as much as I can. Seeing it drives the fiancé bonkers. He has several other excavator jobs to do this weekend.

Hopefully the leaf removal crew will be back this week to blow the leaves as they seem to all be off the trees now, the chestnut and beech trees will hold a lot of their leaves until spring.

Off to get more done and time to hang rugs out

Have a great day all,

JCKitty

Update

It is my lucky day. I actually won two tickets for entry into the craft fair today, along with two tickets for the door prize.

Hubby is coming with me as quite often they have woodworking crafts that he likes to look at.
