Good morning all.

Haven't been on the computer as often and that's a good thing. Since I'm on all the time when I'm home, the break is good.

My sister is doing OK, although it hasn't really hit her as yet as she had people calling her ten times a day and then I got down here. She will be fine . . . everyone is . . . it does eventually all work out.

Well, just wanted to hop on and say hello.

Have a great day all.
Glad that you hopped on to give us an update.

Good morning. Nothing much going on. I am recuperating from Sunday and Monday. Both days involved being out of the house and doing some shopping for necessary fill in things where needed mostly household items. The good thing is all of the activity has tired me out so getting some decent sleep for a change.
Have a good day.

Hello friends,

Sunny outside but cooler. 11F with realfeel of 2 at 7:49am; only supposed to get to 24F here today--we'll see.

I have decided that I AM DONE with being sick!!! For past two days, and today, as I have made my quarts of tea, I have added 1/2 inch of Elderberry Syrup to each bottle. I need to make more, but have misplaced the recipe. I may go to the shop & ask for the recipe again, where I bought the ingredients from.

I am seeing the browns now, when I login via my phone, to MFH. I miss the blues, but these tans & browns are somewhat comforting-- like knowing we are HOME when we come here. ;) Thanks Aaron & Erin!!

Half an hour after I woke up, a migraine started zooming in--I can always tell one is coming when I see the strange sparkly auras that spread wider (and faster) depending on how fast it's hitting me. After 15 minutes, it was still coming, though slowly, so I hunted up my meds. 20 minutes after taking them, the auras had left though some pain was trying to come on, and I'm left with my usual extreme exhaustion that is normal with my migraines.

Yesterday I felt energetic, so after dropping girls off at school, then returned home to get ds's 11 &15, I took them to school--paid some school fees for both ds17 & ds15, then chatted with teh office ladies a bit. Next I went to the post office, and then to the bank, then to Walmart for a little shopping--saw 2 friends there, and chatted with them, and my energy just plummeted during my visit with my 2nd friend to where I where I struggled to get to checkout & drive home.
Then I sat in my recliner for about 1-1/2 hours just to rest. I had tested myself, and have decided that Yes I Can go do errands, but that I need go in short blocks of time, and limit my standing-still conversations to just a few minutes.

I am supposed to have a phone interview in 30 minutes for the Breast/Ovarian Cancer research study that I am part of, BUT my energy is soo limited today, am already tired, that I may just got start my errands (the ones leftover from yesterday) and talk to her along the way---IF she even remembers to call me, she forgot 3 weeks ago.

Today's errands are getting tax papers from 2 daycares for the amounts I paid to them in 2019, paying school lunch money, and buying a few groceries. Maybe depositing a check for dh too-- the wisdom teeth dentist sent us a refund check yesterday saying our insurance had paid more than expected.

I had planned to clean part of my closet today, but I think that I will knit on my temperature blanket after I finish crocheting this ruffle scarf. This pattern (https://www.crochetspot.com/free-crochet-pattern-ruffle-scarf/) is my favorite scarf pattern as it works up very quickly, faster than any knitted scarf I have made to date.

Yesterday I made Tamale Pie for dinner--haven't made it in a LONG TIME, and made 2x a much as needed, should have frozen 1 pan but didn't. So today's dinner will either be leftovers of that, or rather I'd like to make Hamburger soup (which will be thickened for dh's preference because he detests "your water soups," as he dislikes runny meals).

I'm off to type up a invoice on paypal for a friend who wants to buy 4 ounces of my purply-blue mistake roving-- I'm sick of thinking of that stuff, especially as I discovered that she returned me 16 ounces of roving for the nearly 2 pounds of blue-dyed wool I handed off.

Yesterday and Sunday I looked at dyeing videos--I think I'm going to attempt to overdye the green to see what I get. Today, I will look at Rit dye's website (as I dyed my blue, green & orange wool all with rit dye) to see suggestions. I'm actually excited to do this... and am thinking of trying to do it during school days without children to interrupt me.

Speaking of school children, they have Friday off from school, so that with Monday off for President's Day makes for a lovely school break for them--I might be going crazy by the end however.

I thank you for whomever prayed for ds17 last weekend, he took 6th place in his weight class. This weekend is 3A & 4A State Wrestling Championships--Dh plans to go, and I REALLY WANT TO GO, but am trying to decide just how smart of an idea that actually would be. I am Praying that he does Better at State--would love him to place in top 3, but overall, I want him to be happy AND not get hurt!!

Today I am thankful for sunshine, for the friends who are still willing to give my girls a ride home, for you all, and that I'm driving again.

(WOW!! Took longer to type up this, with some distractions, than expected. Now 10:15am instead of 9:25am. No phone call yet. Hmm...)

It is a damp chilly day. What a difference from yesterday.

I was in shorts yesterday. Today back to long sleeves and jeans.

We decided to go ahead and list the family house with our family realtor. Feels weird. Now it feels real.

Good afternoon .
Catching my breath. DH's friend is coming for dinner. Actually, he offered to bring dinner, so ...
So we've been cleaning . My back is aching but the main areas are presentable. I must admit that while I enjoy visiting with folks, more and more I prefer to do it outside the house.
Anyway, a bit warmer and brighter today.
Gayle, hope you're feeling better.
Logics, glad you popped in ...
