My Frigidaire has a filter "club". You can get them sent automatically every few months -

Maybe for some learn to do more things online?

I was surprised to see a long long line of cars yesterday at our county tax accessor office. It is drive up only.

I thought people were paying taxes maybe? Nope - getting vehicles registered.

That can be done online. Even in a state such as ours that requires a yearly inspection - all that info is forwarded to them . Even your insurance information is accesible to them.

littlemiss63 wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2020 3:42 pm I don't shop to much and that was the reason that I was caught flat-footed on this crisis. However, when DH was a live, we kept a well stocked pantry and larder and after he died I just didn't want to cook anymore. He loved his food and I loved making it for him. He did most of the shopping and I went really lack on it after he died.

I am in good shape for the time being and I will definitely go back to keeping things stocked better since it is now harder for me to shop. I guess this has made me realize that I really am elderly. Guess I had not realized that until now. I have just always been able to do for myself and never thought that I would be this dependent on others.

I like the idea of giving to a special person for you do know exactly to whom you are giving. I tithe, and I know our church do a lot of good things, but for this particular time, I like CG's idea better. It's nothing that will lift your spirit to receive an unknown gift at a time like this. I have a couple of people in mind myself. My son-in-law is shopping for several of his elderly neighbors on his days off and I am so proud of him. They make him a list and if they are short of money he pays for it himself. This is his way of giving during these difficult times.
Love your son-in-law!

Thank you Trees, "So Do I". He says that most of them give him to much money and he's got an envelope that has their grocery list and money in it and he can return their change. However, there are several who needed things and didn't have enough money to buy anything extra until their checks come in at the first of the month. He's a Nebraska Boy, but he's adapted very well to being one of us "Southerner's". I have never seen anything like this, but it sure seems to have brought out the best in some of the people I know.

I agree Littlemiss. I do think in most cases this awful situation has brought out the best in people.
