Good Morning friends,
We've got warmer weather moving in today. Let's get this day started.
Daily Check in May 14, 2020
Re: Daily Check in May 14, 2020
HI,
Optimistically, I put on shorts this morning. I finally made it to Hobby Lobby. I posted the experience in the Face mask thread. It was more crowded than I hoped, people shopping in pairs or groups, estimate 40% customers in masks.
I started making a list of my "Pandemic accomplishments" I have probably made over 30 masks. I made 16 Bowl Cozies. My SisIL got hers from Mom and Dad's and texted her thanks. I took some to the Mother's day celebration at DDIL's Mom's and gave one to her Mom Grandma and Sister. Finally, I have DS2's quilt pieced, basted and waiting on quilting. We are expecting rain all weekend, so I expect to get started on that.
Have a great day,
Maggie

Good morning all,
It is another lovely day in Central Florida. Highs in the 80's. Lows in the 60's. Last I heard, we likely have the first named storm of the 2020 hurricane season headed to the Bahamas. I sure hope we don't get another round of panic buying as a result. Nerves are already frayed.
I met with the man who "bought" my lawn guy's business yesterday. His proposed fee for cutting was a little high I felt. But I told him to leave his card in case that was now the going price. He left a card, but it was my old lawn guy's number. Curious. I will need to begin looking for someone. Not my favorite task. I feel I need to have the work done because the recently dug out ditches are steep and could injure my bad knee.
I called the Publix pharmacy yesterday. The dental assistant said to get the prescriptions for the extraction filled at Publix because the antibiotic would be free. One of the scripts is for high dose Ibuprofen. The warning on it was a page long and I wanted to ask some questions about it. The pharmacist explained the warnings included any reaction anyone ever had. Very educational. The extraction has cause very little discomfort and no swelling. Dentist did a good job. Frankly, I am thinking that tooth had actually been causing discomfort for a long time and I didn't realize it. It just feels better now that it is gone.
Yesterday evening, I got out my new battery lawnmower and did a bit of mowing in the back yard. It went ok. Today, I hope do a bit more, here and there. Also work on clearing the fence line. Transplant and water. Also go to the grocery store for basics.
Today, I am grateful for my simple life. Have a good day all.

Good morning Maggie and all.
LittleMiss, you are in my prayers. I hope that you are able to get your treatment on Friday. You have handled this whole ordeal of the dialysis with so much grace and positivity.
Today I’m meeting my friend to again walk at the college near her condo. We thought of trying to meet halfway but the biggest park halfway has a pool and rec center and I think it will be crowded. The college is perfect. Next week my friend will come up this way and we’ll walk at the park where we previously met.
I made a hair appt. for after Memorial Day. I’m still hesitant because I don’t know if my hairdresser will be extra careful. She is the type of person I’m afraid will be angry she had to close in the first place. My county has had 923 cases and 64 deaths. (56% of the deaths at nursing homes.)
I’m done with grocery shopping for awhile. I have enough. Yesterday I put more of my overflow at mom’s house.
Have a good day.

Re: Daily Check in May 14, 2020
Good morning beautiful people,
Little miss you are also in my prayers- such a weird time to have to navigate treatment all alone. But in reality according to Dd2 who works in a hospital daily, probably the safest time at our particular hospital anyway. People are afraid to use the emergency service unless almost dying and Covid-19 screening is done every time anyone (including staff) enters the hospital. No visitors allowed still in effect.
It’s finally raining here and we really need it! So no watering of the garden needed today. Dh has his wishing well project he can work on inside the garage. And perhaps today I’ll get around to dating and decorating our cruise photos from last fall. I also need to clean out the dreaded fridge hoping not to find anything spoilt. I will also update my Walmart pickup order.
This afternoon dh has an online video conference call with a specialist through Telehealth Ontario. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works. I followed the directions carefully when I downloaded the app.
Today I’m grateful I will have more reading time with my Apple book and less food prepping today due to leftovers that are actually tastier the second day ( lamb curry for dh and dd2 and butternut squash soup for myself.)
Have a wonderful day,
Creative

Big hug Little Miss!!!
I am up and having a cup of coffee. Will start getting ready to hit the trail. Thought about not going but once it start, its hard to quit. And once you quit, hard to start.
I finally wore real pants yesterday and I was able in fit in size 12. I had been wearing 14s all winter. chubby bear pants.
Will aim to get back into 10
Isn't this crazy. Back and forth with the weight. Good thing I kept the pants.
Take care all
