How is your income doing?

Post by icfrugal1 »

I have a good percentage of my money in CD's though my brokerage , sadly they are able to call the CD's.

https://www.bankdealguy.com/callable-cd/

Because of this my income is down about $5,000 so far this year

The money in my "non" retirement I can move, but I need to move the money in my retirement accounts somewhere.

And, of course I'm not raising my tenants rent this year.

My income is stable.

CD rates are low but I don’t have any callable CDs. Plus, I don’t use them for income but just roll over the interest.

I get a small pension and take a set amount out of my rollover IRA each month. I also use the dividends from my individual stocks mostly to pay some of my bigger bills - auto and home insurance and property tax. I don’t look at them carefully but there was talk in the business news that at least one of my stocks might cut the dividend. The stock itself has gone way down and unlike many stocks has not bounced back. It’s an oil stock.

I feel for the people here in Florida still waiting for their unemployment.

Up in some areas, down in others. We may come out even.
No offense, but why callable CDs? Is the interest rate that much higher?

Of course, no offense :D

My money was at the brokerage, it just seemed easier and at the time the rates were better then other banks credit unions

It's like every thing else, who could have seen this coming???

I have been moving my "non" ira money out as CD's were called or became due, but i sure didn't count on this .

Our regular income has stayed the same. Our savings, and various investments have taken a beating but are slowly coming up or holding their own.
