It has "warmed up" here to about 25 above zero - but heavy snow falling with about 12" expected by tomorrow afternoon. It's okay - I've seen a lot worse.

Within approximately 48 hours we're forecast to have another 10 inches on top of what's already fallen. It's supposed to "take a pause" and then start up again tomorrow night/Wednesday.

"The Little Rock, Arkansas-based Southwest Power Pool, which manages the electric grid across 17 central and western U.S. states, on Monday morning issued an Energy Emergency Alert Level 3, its highest alert, signaling that its operating reserves are below the required minimum. SPP has directed its member utilities to be prepared to implement controlled interruptions of service, if necessary."

It hasn't reached us yet but my cousin in Siloam Springs told me this morning they have been told they are under a "rationing" of electrical power.
