I like just a fresh smell without scents and I have found if I pour white vinegar into a small glass bowl and place it on top of my refrigerator it works wonders in the kitchen at absorbing cooking odors. You could also place it in a decorative bottle in a bedroom or bathroom.

That is a great idea. I use baking soda and essential oils but vinegar is more frugal!

Simmering cinnamon sticks on the stove is my very favourite. The scent lasts for days, and it's never overbearing. Just a fresh homey scent.

I've been using my essential oil diffuser a lot lately; my children we asking me a few weeks ago what I sprayed around the kitchen. LOL, just OnGuard (DoTerra); its got orange , cinnamon, & clove oils in it so nicely scented for the holidays. I like using peppermint too. I just put 1/2 cup cool tap water, then 3-6 drops of essential oils, and I'm set for 6-8 hours.

Gayle. The orange, cinnamon, and clove oil combination sounds lovely.
