LOL, I actually meant the ones that like to post on the forum. They seem to pop up at the strangest times.SandiSAHM wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 2:19 pm I read check-ins sort of intermittently.... do you mean actual moles? The little underground root-consuming garden- and lawn-demolishing buggers?
If so... after years of chasing one at the last house and the better part of 10 months chasing one here, my mom came to visit. DH happened to complain about the mole in her earshot and she made me take her out to buy some Juicy Fruit gum. Dropped 2 pieces in each of the recent holes (she says you can even leave the wrapper on, but why?) and since then, no mole. Apparently they can't resist it and it gunks up their innards.
I think the dog misses the mole, but DH sure doesn't

But they aren't really trolls according to definition. More spammers which come from no where, pop up leaving crap and disappear only to pop up again layer to cause more damage.

Re: Daily Check In August 5th
Hello friends,
I’m camped on my bed, littles are watching tv, and bigs are snacking or walking the puppies. After I post this, I’m getting my ice pack again.
Here’s how my day went:
I awoke at 4:30 am, gathered dh’s lunch& breakfast, sorted the woodstove-top paper monster, read (and dozed)in my book until 7:30-ish. I had a hard time staying awake today, sat on the recliner about 7:30-8am and promptly fell asleep until my alarms went off about 10am. I then noticed I’d missed a cal from dh, so checked my voicemail where I discovered 3 missed calls from Women’s Imaging center. I played phone tag a bit with them, but ended up with an appt for a follow up mammogram today at 1pm. Then I called dh who'd called to say he was going to be at the Ut/Co/Wy border all day—I shared my news too.
Fast forward, my July 25th mammo had found 2 small masses on my right breast, so more in-depth scans were done then an ultrasound. Then the radiologist came in to do more ultrasound scanning, AND... one spot was declared a cyst, the other is an unknown requiring a biopsy to remove tissue samples for testing. So... he had time today, and I did too, so biopsy was done right then, and I’m home with the local anesthesia now rapidly wearing off, and I only get otc meds, plus was told to ice it often (got a small round ice pack for in-bra), and rest for today & tomorrow, plus apply pressure (no showering until tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday). They are to call me by Thursday or Friday with results.
So in the meantime of this week, I have 3 new-student orientations to attend, dd6 to register for school tomorrow, ds14’s schedule change meeting on Wednesday, shuttling ds16 to work because he lost driving privileges, and?? Life.
Dinner will be whatever dh brings home—he offered, I accepted.
Today I’m thankful for technology, books, and yarn.

Don't we live in such sad times? DH and I took our two granddaughters to the county fair a few days ago. He went on the rides with them and I spent my time scanning the crowds for any danger. Sick, miserable, hateful times.jckitty wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 11:13 am Good morning all,
I feel like I might be in a foul mood, all of this senseless violence over the weekend and then having to listen to the "talking Cheeto" spout his rhetoric . I am seriously thinking of going up one tier on the satellite so I can get the really old shows that are never interrupted for "him".
We went to the birthday party yesterday, in a really nice bowling alley. First thing I find myself doing is scoping out the entrances and exits, looking for hiding places and checking out other people. I hate living like this.
The party went fine, birthday girl received nice gifts and the cake was so cute. I was glad to get home.
Today I am dusting, changing tabletops and doing floors. I am also going to pay bills and clear the desktop.
Reunion next door is over, much quieter in the woods and need to think about mowing.
Found a great deal on chicken leg quarters 54cents a pound, bought 30# for DD to can and 10# for my freezer... we all prefer the dark meat and DD really wants to learn to can some for winter use. Momma is the teacher.
Off to get busy again, or find some deeper sand to stick my head into.
