Good morning Jackie and frugal friends.

Another busy morning for me. I have a hair appointment and will then meet my friend at Starbucks. I try to never pay out of pocket for Starbucks, just use gift cards earned from Bing. I only had $1.73 left on my card but barely earned enough points by last night for another $5 card. I just transferred the money this a.m. so now have $6.73. Most of the time my tea is $2.84. I’m not sure if I’ll get my usual iced tea or hot tea this morning.

Then to the library to pick up my Billions dvd. Most likely I won’t start watching it until Monday because of the figure skating on this weekend.

Yesterday’s class on the FindMyPast database was OK but the woman who led it is the leader of the Irish genealogy group. I don’t have any Irish ancestors. Also I’m not sure there is new info in the database on my English ancestors. Still, I found out I can access it with my phone or iPad (rather than the library’s computers) when I’m at this particular library for genealogy club. I did talk with some nice people, one who had been in the military workshop and an English lady (from Yorkshire) who now lives here.

I just realized that the Florida Democratic primary is March 17. I’ll be in Montreal so I’m glad I’m signed up to vote absentee. I’m thinking of volunteering leading up to the primary.

P.S. it’s a small world. I just read that Shanghai Disney will be closed because of the corona virus. My friend’s grandson, an actor, has been working at Shanghai Disney since last fall on a one-year job placement. He is young and in good health but I know my friend will be worried.

Have a good day.

Good Morning happy Frugal villagers (lol),

Janet, hope you enjoyed your birthday. My parents are close to your age. And you do amaze me in how much you get done.

My car will be finished early next week. I got a call from the body shop last night.

I woke up with a bit of a sore wrist from yoga. But that is ok. I am moving.

My calendar looks like I have conference calls form now until 1 PM Fun (Not).

Have a great day,
Maggie

Good morning fellow frugalites,

Another night of tossing and turning. I think there will be at least one more night as such and that is if the bedroom only needs one more coat of paint. Hubby thinks the wall that used to have the electric baseboard heat may need a third. I would say a nap this afternoon is in order, but that just never seems to happen. I just can not fall asleep with the sun shining and the cat taking up the vast majority of the chesterfield.

I am not very happy with the way our spending is going. For some reason this month has been harder than usual to pull back on the financial reins and stop some of the slow leaks. Groceries are higher, even just buying the necessities, and for some reason we have been using way more fuel in the vehicle and not really driving any more than usual. Even my no spend days are not where I would like them to be. I will be taking a good hard look at where expenditures can be cut and tweaking a few budget lines once again.

It isn't that we can't afford to spend, it is more the I don't want to spend needlessly on silly things. Much rather spend on experiences or our DS's to see their enjoyment while we can.

Okay, now as far as my surgery is concerned I contacted the waitlist for my health area. I am now only 3 to 5 months away from surgery. It really dropped the past while. So I am thinking 4 months if all goes right. I asked my Dr. if the cells found could have changed into something worse, and she set my mind at rest. In looking at the biopsy results she said that it would take years for the precancerous cells to change into cancer. Whew, that was the one thing I was worried about and now I feel so much better. Also found out that the last blood test was to see if the statins were causing my muscle pain. All is fine and the doc said to massage the thigh area and to try drinking more water.

This morning I will pay a few bills online, get those pesky household tasks completed (one chore also involves using the hand held vacuum to give the cat a bit of a massage, yes Shania loves it lays down when I tell her to, and even rolls over so I can do both sides of her body). We do have a very strange cat.

I am still picturing how I am going to do the sewing/craft room and still enable me to use all my sewing machines, the computer, the Cricut, and the knitting machine. Not getting a clear picture as of yet. I really need to figure that out soon so I can move on.

Supper tonight will be another serving of the Chinese food. This will make the purchase price for each meal a bit lower, but still a lot more than what this type of meal used to be.

Today I am grateful that I will still be able to get out for a lovely walk or two.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

You do seem to be enjoying the yoga. Keep it up.

Good morning all,

Yesterday was my macular degeneration eye injection, so I spent the rest of the day and most of the evening in bed. My vision report was excellent with 20/20 vision in both eyes. Just a little distortion in the right eye. After discussion, the doc and I agreed to reduce my schedule of injections. That makes me happy at several levels.

Today, I must still avoid water and dust to insure no chance of infection in the eye. That will be hard since it is supposed to be a lovely day here with temperatures near 80F. The cold weather of 2 nights ago did not damage anything as far as I can tell. Lots of blooms on the tomatoes and some fruit. The tropical cherry bushes are in bloom and it looks like a bumper crop this spring. I really want to increase my food plants this year. I am thinking southern blueberries.

Today, hubs and I will join a gym. He is grumpy about it, but his health is good enough now to gain from a stationary bike. It is covered by insurance. The gym is next door to Walmart Market and Walgreens, so combine things together. I also gave hubs his own set of car keys. His health is good enough that he can drive pretty well. The keto diet has really brought him back to life.

This afternoon, nervous neighbor and I will go for a walk. I gave her business cards from my retina specialist as she requested. She and another neighbor both have macular degeneration and my recovery has amazed them. She is mad at Walmart for not having enough checker lines. She hates the self checkouts. Eggman hates them too. I like them, but I stay quiet and let them rant. I expect to hear a rant today.

Tonight will be leftover roast turkey. I made cranberries yesterday, but insisted he flavor them with sugar substitute since he is the cranberry eater.

Today, I am grateful that it will be warmer with sun. Life is good. Have a good day everyone.
